Anna Faris is among those who lost their homes

In the video, Chris Pratt disclosed that Anna Faris, 48, lost her home in the fires. The 'Scary Movie' actress, who shares a 12-year-old son named Jack with Pratt, is safe along with her family, her representative told People.

“My son’s school is gone. My son’s mom’s house burned down,” Pratt said.

He also mentioned that many of his friends and neighbors suffered similar losses, with dozens losing their homes.

“Anna and her family are safe and very grateful,” Faris’ representative stated on January 8.

The devastating Pacific Palisades fire

The Pacific Palisades Fire is being described as the most destructive wildfires in Los Angeles history.

According to Cal Fire, the blaze has consumed over 23,400 acres, destroying homes, businesses, and schools in its path.

Dry vegetation, strong winds, and a lack of rainfall created the perfect storm for the wildfire’s rapid spread. Tragically, the fires have claimed at least 27 lives while thousands remain displaced.

In addition to the Pacific Palisades Fire, the neighboring Eaton Fire in Pasadena and Altadena wreaked havoc, burning over 14,000 acres.

“It’s truly devastating, as you know,” he said, adding “But we’re resilient. We trust in God, and consider it all a blessing.”

“Thank you to everyone who has shared prayers and support. It’s been inspiring to see how our community has come together,” he said.
