Clint Eastwood, 94, already dating after ex Christina Sandera's death as he 'enjoys life to the fullest'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Just weeks after the tragic death of his longtime partner Christina Sandera, the iconic Clint Eastwood is reportedly dating again.
Radar Online broke the news that Eastwood, aged 94, has already introduced his new girlfriend to his inner circle and even taken her to the famous hotel he owns in Carmel, California.
A source close to the actor revealed, "To most normal people, dating again after such a loss would be a surprise. But Eastwood is 94 and knows he has to enjoy life to the fullest. He wants to have a partner and has already introduced his new love to his inner circle."
Loss of Christina Sandera
Eastwood’s decision to move on comes after the devastating demise of Christina Sandera, his partner of nearly a decade. Sandera died at the age of 61, leaving Eastwood heartbroken.
Clint confirmed her death in a statement. "Christina was a lovely, caring woman, and I will miss her very much," he wrote. His daughter Morgan Eastwood, 27, also shared her grief: "A devastating loss for our whole family. Thank you Christina for being a good partner to my Dad, you will be greatly missed."
The cause of Christina Sandera’s death was later revealed to be a heart attack. The Monterey County Health Department confirmed that the immediate cause of death was cardiac arrhythmia, which occurs when the heart’s timing or rhythm becomes irregular. Atherosclerotic coronary artery disease was also listed as a contributing factor.
Clint and Christina had a relatively private relationship, though they were occasionally seen together at major Hollywood events.
The two first met when Sandera was working as a hostess at Eastwood's Carmel eatery, the Mission Ranch Hotel and Restaurant. Their romance began in 2014; and although they were never married, they shared nearly a decade together.
Despite their low-profile relationship, Sandera made several red carpet appearances with Eastwood. In 2015, the pair attended the Oscars together when Clint's film American Sniper was up for six awards.
Sandera continued to accompany Clint to premieres for films like Sully (2016), The Mule (2018), The 15:17 to Paris (2018), and Richard Jewell (2019). The last time they were photographed together was in November 2022, when they were seen with Clint’s daughters.
Clint Eastwood's history of high-profile relationships and legacy
The Million Dollar Baby director has had relationships with several women over the years and is a father of eight children by six different women.
Eastwood’s first marriage was to model Maggie Johnson in 1953. They separated in 1964 and officially divorced in 1984. In 1996, he married TV news anchor Dina Ruiz, a relationship that lasted until their divorce in 2014.
Clint has also been romantically linked to a number of other high-profile women, including Oscar-nominated actress Sondra Locke, with whom he was partners for 14 years. The two starred in several films together. He also had a five-year relationship with 'Titanic' actress Frances Fisher, and they made four movies together.
Other relationships in Eastwood’s life include those with stuntwoman Roxanne Tunis and flight attendant Jacelyn Reeves.
That said, at 94, Eastwood isn’t slowing down when it comes to filmmaking.
The four-time Academy Award winner has directed 41 films and remains one of Hollywood’s most respected figures. He’s made classics like 'Unforgiven' and 'Million Dollar Baby' — both of which won Best Picture — and worked with some of the industry’s top talent across generations.
Now, Clint is rumored to be preparing for what may be his final film. 'Juror No. 2' is scheduled for release on November 1 and is set to be his next big project. The film is already generating quite the buzz and will have its world premiere at the 2024 AFI Fest on October 27.
AFI’s president Bob Gazzale is excited about the premiere. “There is only one Clint Eastwood — and AFI is proud to present the World Premiere of this next chapter in his historic canon. We are honored to bring the community together once again – artists and audiences – to celebrate an American icon," he said in a statement.
