Scott Eastwood on lessons in resilience from dad Clint Eastwood
Scott Eastwood emphasized that his father’s resilience is deeply rooted in his upbringing. “It’s in our blood,” Scott explained.
“He was born coming out of the Great Depression and was young during World War II. He saw a lot of struggle,” he added.
For Clint, a philosophy of perseverance has guided him through life. Scott reflected on Clint's mindset, adding, “You don’t complain. You don’t whine. You just do.”
Scott Eastwood’s path to acting
Scott Eastwood also credited his father as the driving force behind his career in Hollywood. “He’s the reason I’m in this industry,” Scott said.
“It’s like anybody. If your dad’s a carpenter, maybe you’d become a carpenter,” he added.
Growing up in Monterey, California, with his mother, former flight attendant Jacelyn Reeves, Scott spent much of his childhood on his father’s movie sets. He eventually earned smaller roles in Clint’s films, such as 'Gran Torino' and 'Flags of Our Fathers'.
Though he remains tight-lipped about any upcoming collaborations with Clint, Scott fondly described past experiences working with his father as “great” and called him an “inspiration.”

Scott Eastwood's latest project, 'Alarum', sees him starring alongside another Hollywood legend, Sylvester Stallone.
In the action-thriller, Scott faces off against Stallone in what promises to be a dynamic on-screen pairing. “What I like about guys like Stallone is they’ve got this iconography behind them,” Scott said.
“The audience can immediately believe who they are because they have all this history,” he noted.
When asked if he had previously crossed paths with the 'Rambo' star, Scott admitted with a laugh, “I think I did. I don’t really remember. Maybe!”
'Alarum' will be released in theaters, on digital, and on-demand platforms on January 17.
