LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Comedian Bill Burr is all fired up at self-proclaimed internet experts whom he called "idiots" for spewing opinions and complaints about the way the Los Angeles wildfires have been managed.

Burr made these assertions while appearing on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' and said that although he had to evacuate his home, he felt lucky as his house was spared.

Bill Burr opens up on LA wildfires, says 'everybody is doing great except the Internet'

Bill Burr began by praising the efforts of those managing the crisis.

“I think everybody’s doing a great job,” he said, before criticizing the internet's response to the disaster on the late-night show.

Mocking online know-it-alls, he continued, “Oh my god, all of these fire experts. 'Why don't you just fly a helicopter into the ocean?' I don't know... 'cause it was 100 knot winds? You want to do that...you f*****g lunatic."

Burr didn’t hold back as he used Cliff Clavin's voice to mimic the internet commenters. He said, “This was definitely mismanaged,” before switching back to his own voice to call out the absurdity.

"Like some f*****g idiot on the internet knows how to manage the worst fire in LA, sitting there in his underwear. ‘You know, looking at the footage on the internet I have determined that this was mismanaged,’" he said, according to Deadline.

"If you’re on the internet, you know..anything,” Burr added.

Bill Burr says he 'got lucky' as his home was spared by LA fires

Bill Burr confirmed that his family evacuated their home due to the fires but mentioned that they "got lucky" their house was spared from the blaze.

The comedian told Variety on January 14 that he hates how the wildfires have been politicized online.

"What kills me is a lot of it is just bots," he said, adding "I think it's treasonous behavior to politicize everything, keeping regular working people at each other's throats."

As of Wednesday, January 15, an evacuation order was in effect for about 88,000 California residents due to the fires.

Bill Burr recalls escape in an SUV, explains helicopter purchase plans

Bill Burr also spoke about his misguided faith in his previous purchase of a helicopter for quick escapes.

“I didn’t realize how expensive helicopters were so all I have is a two-seater,” he told Kimmel.

He said, " I didn’t want to have to make Sophie’s Choice with my family, so we all piled into the SUV like everybody else.”

Bill Burr calls out insurance companies over wildfire premiums

Burr further criticized the media for focusing on looting while ignoring the actions of insurance companies.

“They talk about looting but CNN and Fox News are not going to bring up the insurance companies that are just going to keep everybody’s premiums and still give themselves a bonus,” he said.

He referenced the shooting death of insurance executive Luigi Mangione, suggesting it stemmed from corporate greed.

“Free Luigi!” Burr exclaimed, adding, “I loved how they all acted surprised by the shooting. He wrote on the bullets why it happened!” Kimmel interjected, “Oh, we’re back to Luigi.” Burr responded, “I never left Luigi.”
