MALIBU, CALIFORNIA: Luigi Mangione, the prime suspect behind the killing of UnitedHealthCare CEO Brian Thompson, has garnered immense online support as many fundraising pages have been launched to raise funds to cover his legal expenses.

Mangione has been charged with murder, along with two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, one count of second-degree possession of a forged document, and one count of third-degree criminal possession of a firearm.

Interestingly, a viral social media post also claimed that singer Lady Gaga is looking for evidence to free Mangione. Other similar posts have also made rounds on the internet. But is there any truth to this? Let's find out.

Claim: Lady Gaga is looking for evidence to free Luigi Mangione

An X user @mummummummah wrote, "Lady Gaga has started looking for evidence to free Luigi Mangione (TMZ reports)." The post has already garnered more than 440K views and around 1.5K reshares.



 

Many people took to the comment section to drop their views.

A user wrote, "Mama mia he will be freed soon", while one added, "Italians looking after fellow italians, is an mvp move."



 



 

A person also wrote, "She looked for EVIDENCE (heart emoji)", whereas one mentioned, "Italian Americans Uplifting One Another."



 



 

False: TMZ has not covered such news

The claim made in the viral post is completely false as the post mentioned TMZ to be the source for the news but the outlet has not published any such news about Lady Gaga and Luigi Mangione.

Moreover, Lady Gaga has also not provided any such statement mentioning that she wants to free the suspected shooter. Many social media users quickly believed this rumor but the claim is completely false.

Kim Kardashian's fans urge her to 'protect' Luigi Mangione

Kim Kardashian, renowned for her advocacy in criminal justice reform, has received support from her followers who are urging her to intervene and assist Luigi Mangione.

Notably, Kardashian has played a crucial role in securing the release of individuals such as Alice Marie Johnson and advocating for the resentencing of Lyle and Erik Menendez despite not yet being a licensed attorney.

Many fans believe Kardashian can help in freeing Mangione. A user wrote on X, "@KimKardashian Free Luigi Mangione for us. Get us that pardon", while one added, " Kim Kardashian should represent Luigi Mangione."



 



 

A person also stated, "HEAR ME OUT, KIM KARDASHIAN SHOULD HELP LUIGI MANGIONE."
