Lady Gaga opens up about her drug habits
During the interview with Vogue, the ‘Poker Face’ singer shared that she fractured her hip bone during her Born This Way Ball tour about a decade ago.
While she recuperated from the fracture, the songstress developed fibromyalgia, a disorder that causes muscle pain. Her struggle was documented in the 2017 Netflix film 'Gaga: Five Foot Two'.
However, down the line, Gaga headlined her seventh concert tour ‘The Chromatica’ in 2022. The tour, that the songstress did with her fiance Michael Polansky, was an “epiphany” for her, per Daily Mail.
The ‘Bad Romance’ singer gushed, “Michael and I did that tour together,” before adding, “I did it pain-free! I haven’t smoked pot in years. I’ve, like, changed. A lot.”
Gaga added, “I feel like this new album, in a lot of ways, is about that time but from a place of happiness instead of misery.”
The singer, who made a stunning red carpet-appearance at the Venice Film Festival with her beau in tow, gushed about their future together.
“And now, Michael and I are really excited to organize our lives—and our marriage—around our creative output as a couple,” shared the Grammy-winning star, before adding, “Which is really different than, like, doing what other people want you to do.”
Gaga praised the love of her life saying that he held her hand during the dark years of her life when she was struggling with mental health.
The couple first sparked relationship rumors in 2019 and went Instagram official in early 2020.
The starry-eyed singer shared during the interview, “I had never met anyone like Michael. He’s so smart and so kind. And his life and my life are very different. He’s a very private guy and he’s not with me for any other reason than that we are right for each other.”
She noted that when her ‘Chromatica’ album came out in 2020, physically she was in a better place with her Fibromyalgia in remission though she struggled with mental health.
She continued, “But I think what I want my fans to know is that I’m just, like, so happy. I’m healthy. I feel like the last time they heard from me—in this way—was Chromatica, and that album was about an absolutely horrible time for me with my mental health. I was in a really dark place.”
The ‘Shallow’ singer explained, “I struggled for, like, many years before that. But everything started to change. Because I had a real friend who saw the ways in which I was unhappy and why. And he wasn’t afraid to truly hold my hand. And get to know me. On a very deep level.”
Lady Gaga and Michael Polansky can't wait to get married
Lady Gaga flaunted her massive engagement ring as she attended the premiere of her latest film ‘Joker: Folie a Deux’ at the Venice Film Festival.
According to sources close to the couple, they are currently in the middle of a $900 million prenuptial agreement to relieve any financial strain while they proceed with their wedding preparations.
The source explained, "There are a lot of assets on both sides, and a prenup will just make everything clear," before adding, "It hasn’t created any tension between them - it’s actually made everything easier. They can’t wait to get married."
