WASHINGTON, DC: Democratic Congressman Jared Moskowitz came to Capitol Hill on Wednesday, March 10, donning a rubber mask of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the New York Post reported.

He wore the Russian leader's mask ahead of the House Oversight Committee's hearing investigating President Joe Biden's family's overseas business dealings to mock the GOP lawmakers leading the inquiry.

However, the Florida lawmaker removed the mask during the hearing, where representatives heard from Tony Bobulinski and Jason Galanis, former business partners of the First Son Hunter Biden.

Jared Moskowitz addresses reporters as Vladimir Putin

Besides wearing the Putin mask, Moskowitz talked to reporters posing as the Russian president.

"I just came to thank [Oversight Committee Chairman] James Comer for taking all of our intelligence and using it in the committee," he said.

"Maybe he can come see the technology in the grocery stores," the Democrat added, referring to Tucker Carlson's recent visit to Moscow to interview the Russian leader, during which he praised the grocery prices at a Russian supermarket.

In another statement, Moskowitz pointed at Russian intelligence's influence on the impeachment inquiry against President Joe Biden.

"House Oversight Republicans opened this investigation into Joe Biden with the 1023 form, which has now been proven to come right from Russian intelligence. James Comer did the bidding of Vladimir Putin. The mask was worn to provide that visual," he said.

Concerns about the interference of Russian intelligence in the accusations against Biden and the First Son were raised after the FBI indicted Alexander Smirnov, a confidential source who made false claims about the First family's foreign business dealings.

House Republicans considered Smirnov "a highly credible FBI source" to prove the president and his son received a $5 million bribe each from Ukrainian energy company Burisma. However, following the informant's indictment, Democrats resurrected the accusations that his case against the First Family was based on Russian intelligence.

Democrats invite former aide to Rudy Giuliani to hearing

Democrat lawmakers on the House panel invited Lev Parnas, a convicted ex-associate of former Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani, to the hearing. He was sentenced to a 20-month imprisonment in 2022 for conspiring to fraudulently fund political campaigns from a Russian businessman, according to the New York Post.

"Lev Parnas is ashamed of what he did to serve the interests of Russian propaganda and Putin's lies," Democrat member of the Oversight Committee Rep Jamie Raskin said in the opening remarks.

The First Son refused to attend the Wednesday hearing, which was the second one by the Republican-led three-panel impeachment inquiry.

Internt slams Jared Moskowitz

Moskowitz received online criticism for donning a Putin Mask to the House Committee hearing.

One user wrote on X, "Rep. Jared Moskowitz should be censured if not expelled for this. What a complete embarrassment. Peaceful J6 protestors get jailed for decades but a representative is allowed to disgrace our government like this? Unreal."

"How disgraceful that a member of our government would do such a thing. What is wrong with you Sir Rep. Jared Moskowitz. This is not a joke! We know the Bidens are corrupt. How dare you do what you did wasting taxpayer money again!" another user wrote.

A user added, "Should have been arrested for entering wearing a mask. Only crooks do that.... Walk into a bank like that lol."

"What a mockery the government he so called represents , what a disgrace!!" another response read.

Someone else said, "This is turning a serious matter into a complete mockery. Stop electing this candidate into office on behalf of the American people."

"Moskowitz a clown? He’s a clown parody, a disgrace to his district and to the State of FL," another outraged individual chimed in.
