On a recent episode, Melvin was spotted sporting a neck tattoo of his co-anchor Savannah Guthrie’s face—a temporary reminder of his lost bet.

The tattoo came as a result of his wager with Guthrie over the NFL, leaving Melvin with a decision: no more betting in the future.

'Today' co-anchors Savannah Guthrie and Craig Melvin settled their bet on January 27 after Savannah's Philadelphia Eagles dominated Craig's Washington Commanders in the NFC Championship game on January 26, securing their spot in the Super Bowl, Today reported.

To add some context, the two made a friendly wager last week, each backing their own team. The loser would have to wear a temporary tattoo of the other's likeness in a prominent place for a week. Melvin happily agreed to the terms.

As the showdown unfolded, Melvin lost the bet to Guthrie. After her team's victory, Carson Daly applied the tattoo to Melvin's neck, which featured an image of Guthrie holding an Eagles logo and wearing an Eagles winter cap.

While the ink was being applied, Melvin, who was also gifted an Eagles jersey from Savannah featuring star running back Saquon Barkley, joked, "I haven’t even seen the picture." He added, "Let this be a lesson. Don’t gamble."

According to People, Daly shared that the tattoo could last longer than expected, saying, "My 10-year-old daughter wore one of these fake tattoos, and we couldn't get it off for 6 months. So Craig, if you’re at tubby time tonight and this doesn’t come off easily, don’t worry."

After the tattoo was finished, Guthrie gushed, "Oh my God, it looks so good, Craig." Melvin responded, "I wish I could see it," to which Guthrie playfully replied, "Don’t worry, you’ll see it on TV!" Melvin also received an Eagles jersey with Saquon Barkley's name on the back, who scored three touchdowns during the NFC Championship game.
