Dave Portnoy addresses Grace O'Malley's exit from Barstool Sports amid her feud with Brianna Chickenfry
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Dave Portnoy, the founder of that produced ‘PlanBri Uncut’, has shared his thoughts over its co-hosts Brianna 'Chickenfry' LaPaglia and Grace O'Malley feud.
O'Malley recently announced her exit from the podcast as well as ending ties with the company after accusing LaPaglia of blindsiding her with the podcast update.
Now, Portnoy has said, as per E! News, “I don't know what people want Barstool to do. You have two friends of 20 years, both employees, who ended up hating each other. It sucks.”
“It's probably for the best that O'Malley goes on her way and who knows with Bri,” he added.
Dave Portnoy blames Zach Bryan for Brianna LaPaglia and Grace O'Malley feud
The 47-year-old went on to suggest that country star Zach Bryan’s relationship with Brianna LaPaglia might have contributed to the issue between the best friends.
He shared, “Zach is a d**k to Grace and Bri's getting f**ked up by Zach. It's terrible. They start hating each other.”
Portnoy also revealed that LaPaglia told him in October that she was thinking of ending the podcast that she hosts with Grace since they “just don't get along.”
After which, he reportedly even contacted O'Malley and the two discussed an independent podcast.
However, at the same time, LaPaglia and Bryan’s drama began unfolding, and “Bri was becoming an icon because she turned down the $12 million,” Portnoy said, referring to the money the 25-year-old internet personality had refused that was offered by her ex in exchange for an NDA.
“This is when everything went f**king sideways and blew up and I wish it didn't happen,” he stated.
Dave Portnoy does not want to be in between Brianna LaPaglia and Grace O'Malley
Dave Portnoy, who co-hosted the 'BFFs' podcast alongside Josh Richards and Brianna LaPaglia, also admitted that he’s more inclined towards LaPaglia than Grace O'Malley.
He said, “I've done a podcast with her for f**king four years. I'm friends with her and I defend my friends. I think it's bulls**t. That doesn't mean I don't like O'Malley.”
“I like O'Malley, but O'Malley doesn't need defense right now. The entire internet is on her f**king side and the entire internet is going for Bri's throat,” Portnoy claimed, before noting, “I don't want this headache of being in between two life-long friends.”
This came after O’Malley posted an Instagram Story, saying, “I wanted you guys to hear from me first that this is my last day at Barstool. I'm so grateful to everyone at the company and to [Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy] for taking a chance on me.”
“I'm just as surprised as you are there are no typos in this statement,” the comedian added.
