WASHINGTON, DC: In a video shared on his Truth Social account, former President Donald Trump announced his Saturday, June 22 Philadelphia rally but soon veered off topic, bragging about the apparent high viewership of his rallies, which are primarily televised by Right Side Broadcasting Network.

The former POTUS' rally marked his first in the City of Brotherly Love in 2024. However, it was his fourth visit to the key swing state of Pennsylvania amid his reelection bid.

In 2016, Trump narrowly won Pennsylvania by less than one percentage point, while in 2020, President Joe Biden secured the state with a little over a one percentage point lead.

Donald Trump rambles about his rallies getting good TV ratings ahead of the Philadelphia rally

Highlighting his travels on the "now very famous Trump Force One," he proceeded to inform his supporters where they could tune in to watch the event, eventually diverging into a discussion about "the television."

"We're having a big rally this evening, early evening, if you want to watch it, it's on most of the television," explained the former president, in the video.

He added, "It will be on just about everybody, come to think about it. It's amazing, they're all picking it up. They must be getting ratings. It's very simple, if you get ratings, they pick it up. If you don't get ratings, they don't pick it up. A very simple business."

Donald Trump vows to bring prosperity back to 'forgotten communities' at Philadelphia rally

A central theme of Trump's Philadelphia speech was "migrant crime."

The MAGA spearhead emphasized his intention to enforce stricter immigration policies compared to Biden, drawing enthusiastic applause from the audience when he claimed that migrant workers were taking jobs from Black and Latino Americans.

The crowd held signs displaying Trump's police mug shot with the slogan "Never surrender," while an electronic sign optimistically proclaimed, "Philadelphia is Trump country," according to The Guardian

"In the Trump administration, we’re going to bring law and order and safety back to our streets," proclaimed the presumptive GOP nominee, adding, "We’re going to bring success back to our schools, we’re going to bring prosperity back to our forgotten communities. And we’re going to liberate our once great cities and make Philadelphia better and more beautiful than ever before."
