Denise Richards reveals she ruptured her implants on competition series

"I jumped off a bridge, too – and that’s when I ruptured my [breast] implants," Denise Richards revealed during the January 3 interview.

She explained that the harness she wore for the jump damaged both implants, leaving her in need of corrective surgery. “I still have to get them redone,” she shared.

“I was supposed to a month ago but couldn’t because we were filming, so yeah, no, I still have to get them redone.”

Denise, 53, also pointed out that the cost of the procedure would come out of her own pocket.

“My insurance doesn’t cover it, I have to pay” she noted, joking, “I think we pretty much signed our life away doing that show. It’s dangerous.”

"Maybe we can work that in after the fact," Phypers then reportedly answered at the suggestion that the Fox series might pay for the operation.

Denise Richard's history of being candid about plastic surgery

Denise Richard’s revelation about her ruptured implants is just the latest chapter in her open dialogue about plastic surgery.

In 2023, she revealed her decision to remove her implants after learning more about their potential toxicity.

“I’m trying to talk [my daughter] Sami out of it because, and the reason why I’m getting them out, is I didn’t know how toxic [they are] when I was 19,” she said.

“And it’s not an easy surgery. It’s painful!”

Denise’s concern for Sami, now 20, whom she had with ex Charlie Sheen, reflects her own teenage insecurities.

“I was made fun of as a teenager [because my boobs] were mosquito bites,” Denise admitted. “I got them done at the same age Sami is wanting to get them done.”

Denise Richard's daughter Sami Sheen’s journey with cosmetic surgery

Despite Denise Richard’s efforts to dissuade her daughter, Sami Sheen ultimately chose to undergo breast augmentation in November 2023.

Sami has been equally open about her cosmetic journey, which included a rhinoplasty procedure in August 2024 to address what she described as her “droopy nose.”

In a TikTok slideshow shared on August 13, 2024, Sami opened up about her long-time desire for a nose job, revealing, “I would have to photoshop every single photo I took because it photographed horribly.”

She described feeling her nose was “droopy and too big for [her] face” and had been contemplating the procedure for five years, as per AOL.

Sheen detailed her journey, sharing that she met with her doctor in June and underwent surgery on August 12, 2024.

Reflecting on the experience, she said, “The second I arrived I felt so safe and welcomed. … I was soooo nervous but at the same time I was extremely excited.”

After the procedure, Sheen posted photos of her recovery, expressing joy over the results and noting that the surgery went “amazing” and was “way quicker” than she expected.
