MALIBU, CALIFORNIA: Dick Van Dyke might be 99 years old but he is no short of energy. A video shared on social media showed the legendary actor performing with his a cappella group, The Vantastix, at the Vandy Camp fundraiser for fire relief in Malibu on Saturday, March 8.

The video was shared by Dick Van Dyke's official Instagram account and the clip has so far garnered more than 3600 likes with many fans lauding the 99-year-old veteran actor for his charismatic energy.

The viral clip shows Dick Van Dyke warming up at a soundcheck for the event, according to Parade.

He can be seen sitting in a chair, not dancing but sounding great, singing songs he’s famous for, including the title song from the 1968 film 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' and a parody version of the song 'The Bare Necessities' from the 'Jungle Book', re-titled 'Old Senility', per the outlet.

The event was organized at Aviator Nation to raise funds for relief after the Palisades Wildfires engulfed the area in January 2025.

Moreover, Van Dyke and his wife, Arlene Silver's $8 million Malibu home was also threatened by the devastating wildfire. However, the couple didn’t end up evacuating their house, per the outlet.

During the time, Silver went live on Instagram and shared that while their home was okay, their guest house caught fire but sustained minimal damage.

She said at the time, "Keeping Dick warm and entertained has been the two things that have been my top priority, so, you know, we don’t have power or regular electricity, so we don’t have Wi-Fi."

Silver added that despite the wildfires, she and Van Dyke had no desire to relocate. She said, "Dick is more comfortable here than anywhere else. It’s easier to take care of him here."
