Diddy and Kim Porter's children shoot down rumors around her death and memoir amid rapper's arrest

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Sean 'Diddy' Combs and Kim Porter's children have opened up about their late mother's involvement since their father's arrest for trafficking and racketeering charges.

More than a week after Diddy's arrest, his three children with Porter -- Christian (King) Combs, twins D'Lila and Jessie Combs, and Quincy Brown — whom whom the late actress and model had with the R&B singer Al B Sure! — shared a joint statement, describing Porter's alleged memoir as "simply untrue."

The children further slammed Al B Sure!, real name Albert Joseph Brown, who has demanded an investigation into Porter's 2018 death, claiming that the official diagnosis of lobar pneumonia is not the complete story.

According to Daily Mail, Porter allegedly saved a book on a hard drive and gave it to Los Angeles record producer Chris Todd, who released it on September 6 under the alias Jamal T Millwood.

However, the book, titled 'KIM’S LOST WORDS: A Journey for Justice, From the Other Side,' was denounced by her children who took to social media to speak out.

While criticizing the latest allegations made against their late mother, Christian, 26, D’Lila and Jessie, 17, and Quincy, 33, posted on Instagram: "WE HAVE SEEN SO MANY HURTFUL AND FALSE RUMORS CIRCULATING ABOUT OUR PARENTS."

"KIM PORTER AND SEAN COMBS' RELATIONSHIP. AS WELL AS ABOUT OUR MOM'S TRAGIC PASSING. THAT WE FEEL THE NEED TO SPEAK OUT."

The statement criticized the book, saying, "CLAIMS THAT OUR MOM WROTE A BOOK ARE SIMPLY UNTRUE. SHE DID NOT, AND ANYONE CLAIMING TO HAVE A MANUSCRIPT IS MISREPRESENTING THEMSELVES."

"ADDITIONALLY. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT ANY SO-CALLED 'FRIEND' SPEAKING ON BEHALF OF OUR MOM OR HER FAMILY IS NOT A FRIEND. NOR DO THEY HAVE HER BEST INTERESTS AT HEART."

"OUR LIVES WERE SHATTERED WHEN WE LOST OUR MOTHER. SHE WAS OUR WORLD. AND NOTHING HAS BEEN THE SAME SINCE SHE PASSED."

Porter, an American model, died from lobar pneumonia at the age of 47 in November 2018 following several days of "flu-like symptoms," as per Daily Mail.

Kim Porter's children slam Al B Sure!'s statement

Following Kim Porter's death, numerous conspiracy theories began floating, which have only grown stronger since Diddy was charged.

Al B Sure! also used his Instagram account on Monday, September 23, to demand an inquiry into Porter's 2018 death, alleging that the model-turned-actress's death was caused by her alleged knowledge of Combs' trafficking.

However, her kids argue that that is not the case. They continued the statement by saying: "WHILE IT HAS BEEN INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT TO RECONCILE HOW SHE COULD BE TAKEN FROM US TOO SOON, THE CAUSE OF HER DEATH HAS LONG BEEN ESTABLISHED."

"THERE WAS NO FOUL PLAY. GRIEF IS A LIFELONG PROCESS. AND WE ASK THAT EVERYONE RESPECT OUR REQUEST FOR PEACE AS WE CONTINUE TO COPE WITH HER LOSS EVERY DAY."

"WE ARE DEEPLY SADDENED THAT THE WORLD HAS MADE A SPECTACLE OF WHAT HAS BEEN THE MOST TRAGIC EVENT OF OUR LIVES. OUR MOTHER SHOULD BE REMEMBERED FOR THE BEAUTIFUL. STRONG. KIND," the statement read.

"AND LOVING WOMAN SHE WAS. HER MEMORY SHOULD NOT BE TAINTED BY HORRIFIC CONSPIRACY THEORIES."

The four children asked that their late mother be respected as they concluded their emotional message.

"WE ASK THAT EVERYONE PLEASE RESPECT OUR MOTHER, KIM PORTER. AND HOLD HER LEGACY IN HIGH REGARD SO THAT SHE MAY REST IN PEACE. IT'S WHAT SHE DESERVES. WE LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU MOMMY," they concluded.

Sean 'Diddy' Combs has had little to no contact with his seven children since his arrest

According to People, Diddy, who is being held in Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center in New York City pending trial, has recently been allowed to speak to his children.

The Bad Boy Records owner, 54, was taken into custody on September 16 and accused of prostitution-related offenses, trafficking, and racketeering. Despite his not guilty plea, he has twice been refused bail.

A source revealed to People that Diddy — who is father to sons Quincy, Justin, 30, and Christian, and daughters Chance, 18, Jessie and D'Lila, and Love, 23 months — has "been able to speak briefly to family members and his children via phone."

According to a second family-affiliated insider, Diddy's children are "in a state of crisis and shock" as a result of their father's incarceration.

The source said, "It's heartbreaking to see the children in the state they're in. This is their father. But to them, he's not Diddy — he's Dad. He has always been a loving, devoted father."

Diddy's hearing is scheduled for October 9 at 2:00 pm, per the outlet.
