Diddy reveals important advice he gave to 'young children' in resurfaced video amid escalating legal woes
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Sean "Diddy" Combs’ advice to "young kids" has come to the fore after an old video of the disgraced rapper regained attention amid his mounting legal woes.
In the resurfaced interview from his appearance on ‘The Rosie O’Donnell Show’, the ‘Coming Home’ rapper advises children to "have God in your life."
Diddy was arrested on September 16 and charged with sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy. The Bad Boy Records founder has, however, vehemently denied all charges and pleaded not guilty.
Sean 'Diddy' Combs said God is responsible for his success
In the interview, which originally aired in 1997, Sean "Diddy" Combs appeared alongside Mason Durell Betha aka Mase, and talked candidly about his views on success, as per The Mirror US.
When Rosie O’Donnell asked about his success, the music mogul said, "We feel blessed, we thank God for everything. We constantly pray and know that he's responsible for everything that has been blessed and granted to us."
"That's what we try to tell young kids, that it's important to have God in your life," added Diddy.
This comes amid the milestone order given by Federal Judge Arun Subramanian on Friday, November 9.
Judge Subramanian denied Diddy’s attorneys’ request for a gag order, which would have silenced potential witnesses and their attorneys from speaking up in court.
The judge wrote, "Not all alleged victims will be participants in this case, and a blanket restriction on their speech will silence individuals who may never have anything to do with the proceedings here. And in any event, less restrictive alternatives must be considered and rejected before imposing a restraint on speech."
"The sheer reach of Combs’s requested order would also necessarily impact the numerous ongoing civil cases involving Combs," noted Subramanian in his order,
He further mentioned, "As to the mounting civil cases against Combs, there are further steps that he can take, including seeking relief in particular cases if the parties or their lawyers have made prejudicial statements to the press, or moving to stay those cases pending the resolution of this one."
Rosie O'Donnell was 'in shock' after Sean 'Diddy' Combs' arrest
The interview resurfaced more than a month after Rosie O’Donnell expressed shock over her former neighbor, Sean "Diddy" Combs' arrest.
She said, "I know that there's perhaps a naivety to me in some way, but I think, how could a person live knowing that they had done that and then be a public person and continue to do it?'" before asking, "Didn't he feel the footsteps of the law behind him at all times?"
Referencing Harvey Weinstein, the comedian further hypothesized, "Or do you just get to be so big like Harvey Weinstein that he thought, ‘Well I control Hollywood. I control the Oscars,” before stating that he probably thought he could do anything, as per Page Six.
Adding that charges against Diddy were "serious" and "very disturbing," O’Donnell concluded, "I'm going to be thinking about that the rest of my life," as per USA Today.
