Diddy was 'obsessed' with Princes William and Harry, kept their framed pics in NY home, claims former rep
BROOKLYN, NEW YORK: Sean 'Diddy' Combs was reportedly "obsessed" with Prince William and Prince Harry, though they never attended any of his star-studded events.
Rob Shuter, who served as Combs' publicist from 2002 to 2004, revealed that he was instructed to reach out to William and Harry "more than 10 times" to invite them to Diddy's parties.
Despite Sean 'Diddy' Combs's lavish offers, Prince William and Harry refused all invitations
According to Rob Shuter, despite Sean 'Diddy' Combs offering to cover all their expenses, including travel, lodging, and security, the royals never accepted the invitations.
"Diddy was obsessed with Prince Harry and Prince William. He thinks of himself as a king, so it makes perfect sense that he would like to have two princes in his entourage," Shuter explained. "[They] never accepted [the invites], they were never part of his world," reported People.
In addition to the invitations, Shuter claims that the rapper kept "framed pictures" of the royals in his New York apartment. The revelation comes amid Diddy's ongoing legal troubles.
Disturbing allegations against Sean 'Diddy' Combs
Sean 'Diddy' Combs was arrested on September 16 and charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution. The music mogul is detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn and has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Since last year, Diddy has faced multiple lawsuits accusing him of sexual and physical assault. His ex-girlfriend, Casandra 'Cassie' Ventura, filed a lawsuit in November 2023 claiming that the rapper had been abusive toward her throughout their relationship.
Diddy allegedly paid an undisclosed sum, rumored to be in the millions, to settle the suit within a day.
Sean 'Diddy' Combs issues apology after 2016 hotel assault video resurfaces
In May of this year, CNN published a gut-wrenching surveillance video from 2016 in which Sean 'Diddy' Combs appeared to assault Cassie Ventura in the hallway of a hotel. The actions seen in the video reportedly seemed to match the claims made by Ventura in her lawsuit.
Two days after the video came to light, the music mogul issued an apology saying, "My behavior on that video is inexcusable." He had previously denied Ventura's allegations.
Diddy's trial date is set for May 5, 2025, coincidentally the same day as the Met Gala. He faces a minimum of 15 years behind bars and a maximum sentence of life in prison if found guilty.
