Disturbing 911 audio details emergency response in death of Tommy Lee Jones's daughter Victoria
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA: Newly released 911 dispatch audio has provided fresh details surrounding the death of Victoria Jones, the 34-year-old daughter of actor Tommy Lee Jones, who was found unresponsive at San Francisco’s Fairmont Hotel on Thursday, January 1.
According to audio obtained by TMZ, the emergency call was initially classified as a ‘code 3’, signaling a critical situation requiring immediate response with lights and sirens.
Dispatchers reportedly described the incident as a possible overdose accompanied by a noticeable change in skin color.
Found unresponsive on the 14th floor
The incident unfolded shortly before 3 am PT on Thursday. Law enforcement sources said that Victoria Jones was discovered lying on the floor of the hotel’s 14th level by another guest, who at first believed she may have been intoxicated.
Hotel staff were alerted and quickly recognized the severity of the situation. Employees initiated CPR and contacted emergency services.
Paramedics arrived within minutes, but resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful. Jones was pronounced dead at the scene.
No medication or pills found at the scene
Despite the initial overdose designation in the 911 call, investigators reported no visible d**g paraphernalia near Jones’ body. Police also stated that there were no signs of physical trauma or foul play.
Authorities have not confirmed whether Jones was a registered guest at the Fairmont or how she came to be in the hallway where she was found.
The San Francisco Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the official cause and manner of death.
Police seek public's help
The San Francisco Police Department has opened an investigation into what it described as an "untimely death" and is asking anyone with information to come forward.
"On 1/1/26 at approximately 3.14 am, San Francisco Police officers responded to a hotel located on the 900 block of Mason Street regarding a report of a deceased person," an SFPD spokesperson said.
"Officers met with medics, who declared the adult female deceased. The investigation remains active," the statement added, urging witnesses to contact the department’s tip line.
A life in and out of the spotlight
Born to Tommy Lee Jones and his second wife, Kimberlea Cloughley, Victoria Jones had a brief involvement in the entertainment industry as a child and young adult.
She appeared in 'Men in Black II' (2002) and later in 'The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada' (2005), which was directed by her father. She also had a minor role in the television series 'One Tree Hill'.
Though she later stepped away from acting, Jones remained close to her father and was frequently seen accompanying him at public events, including film premieres and international festivals in the years leading up to her death.
