NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Don Peebles, a former fundraiser for Barack Obama appeared on the Saturday, July 20, episode of 'Fox & Friends' to share his take on why an increasing number of Silicon Valley leaders have been backing GOP nominee Donald Trump in the upcoming general election.

Speaking with host Will Cain, he further claimed that current Vice President Kamala Harris may assume the top job if the Biden-Harris team gets reelected for a second term. However, as far as policies are concerned, the scenario will not trigger any change that would be satisfying for investors.

Don Peebles' take on Donald Trump gaining support in Silicon Valley over Biden

"I think overall... it's policies over politics," Peebles stated on Saturday. "It's policies and programs over a political agenda. So what's happening is that the approach that the Democrats have had towards Donald Trump, which is to vilify, then to bankrupt him, then try to put him to jail, but to never articulate a vision on how they were going to move the American economy forward, and then the policies of the Biden administration and the Democratic Party have been to the contrary to entrepreneurs, businesses and to growth."

"And so business entrepreneurs in the Silicon Valley are doing what other business leaders and entrepreneurs are all around the country- they are looking at the policies," he explained. "And when you look at the policies which the RNC and the Trump-Vance ticket are articulating, they are much more favorable to entrepreneurs."

Don Peebles on whether Kamala Harris can get back donors by replacing Joe Biden

When Cain inquired if the Silicon Valley trend of supporting the GOP nominee would continue in case Kamala Harris gets the top spot on the Democratic ticket, Peeble added, "I don't see Harris making a bit of difference. We already have her on the ticket, and she will likely be the President at some point during the second term anyway."

He went on to add, "If President Biden withdraws from the nomination, I don't think (the donors) just go to Harris. I think there will be a terrible fight to clean the slate, and that's where many donors want to go. They don't want to go to Harris, they want to go to the next step, which is to turn the page on this administration and move beyond it. And hopefully, engage voters with an exciting ticket that they look at as much more competitive against a Trump-Vance ticket."
