Donald Trump spots Kamala Harris’ weird tic during DNC speech as he unleashes running tirade against rival

PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Former president Donald Trump noticed a weird tic of Vice President Kamala Harris at the start of her primetime speech on the final night of the Democratic National Convention on Thursday, August 22.

Before beginning her speech to accept the Democratic nomination for president, Harris repeated the word "Thank you" 27 times, according to the Daily Mail, and Trump was the first person to notice the strange repetition.

Harris had to reiterate the phrase to calm down an ecstatic crowd that gave her a thunderous welcome. She tried politely to stop the applause so she could start the speech.

Weighing in on Harris' numerous "thank yous", the GOP presidential nominee wrote on Truth Social, "Too many 'Thank yous,' too rapidly said, what’s going on with her?"

Kamala Harris delivered a strong speech at the DNC in which she laid out her vision for the country while warning about the possibility of former president Donald Trump returning to the White House.

As Harris was about to start her speech, the crowd, gathered at the United Center in Chicago on August 22, chanted "Kamala" and "USA" for quite a long time. The vice president tried to quell the raucous supporters by saying, "Let's get down to business," but had to repeat "thank you" four more times before starting her address, expressing gratitude to friends and family.

Besides Trump, ex-White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany's sister Ryann McEnany also spotted the odd tic and asked on X, "How many times did Kamala just say thank you?"

Conservative commentor Meme'nOnLibs took a mocking swipe at the moment, writing on X, "Kamala spending 5 minutes saying 'Thank you' because she has nothing else to say."

Trump, who was giving a live response to his Democratic rival's speech on Truth Social, asked, "IS SHE TALKING ABOUT ME?"

Donald Trump gave his real-time opinions to Kamala Harris' speech as she accepted the Democratic nomination to run against him.

As the vice president saluted her running mate, Minnesota Gov Tim Walz, Trump chimed in, questioning his career as a high school football coach. "Walz was an ASSISTANT Coach, not a COACH," he asserted.

The real estate mogul also took aim at his opponent's service as San Francisco District Attorney before her position as  California Attorney General. "She’s talking about how great San Francisco was before she destroyed it, probably not a good idea!" he remarked.

Trump retorted to Harris as she accused him of sending "an armed mob to the United States Capitol" on January 6, 2021. He repeated his past remark "PEACEFULLY AND PATRIOTICALLY" that he earlier made to the January 6 mob.

Regarding her criticism of his verdict in the New York civil fraud case and E Jean Carroll's defamation case, he said, "These Prosecutions were all started by her and Biden against their Political Opponent, ME!"

Trump also hammered Harris over the border, saying she was "ALL TALK, NO ACTION," questioning why she did not do anything to secure the border three and a half years ago.

Another topic of contention was abortion rights. The vice president slammed the GOP over its restriction on abortion and vowed to sign any legislation that would protect reproductive rights if she became the president.

"I do not limit access to birth control or I.V.F. - THAT IS A LIE, these are all false stories that she’s making up, that I’ve never even heard of," Trump wrote in one post. In another, he rejected his association with the controversial Project 2025, claiming Democrats were "lying" about his involvement in the far-right agenda.

Internet mocks Kamala Harris over her 'thank yous'

Kamala Harris' repetitive "thank yous" ignited mockery on social media as netizens quipped either her teleprompter was not working or she had nothing else to say.

"Teleprompter wasn’t running," a user wrote.

Meanwhile, another called it "Time filler."

"It's like an episode of the 'Twilight Zone'," added a third user.

"Like a kid trying to get the number of words in the book report," read a fourth response.

"She’s so cringe. It’s just awful," someone else chimed in.

"Kamala spending 5 minutes saying “thank you” because she has nothing else to say," an individual said.

"Kamala saying “Thank You” 30+ times sounds like that one teacher who can’t manage their class," another user added.
