LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Drake, whose full name is Aubrey Drake Graham, has begun following the official Instagram accounts of President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance.

UnheardNewsX founder Jack, who appears to be a MAGA supporter, posted about it on X. He wrote on the microblogging site, “Rap superstar Drake has officially started following President Trump and JD Vance on Instagram. He is very close friends with @NICKIMINAJ.”

“Something incredible is happening in the music industry. Nicki started a movement,” the X user added.

Nicki Minaj backs Trump, embraces gold card

Jack’s reference to Minaj was related to her recent and much-talked-about support for Donald Trump during the Trump Accounts Summit in Washington, DC, on January 28.

The Trinidad and Tobago-born rapper called herself the president’s “number one fan” after being invited on stage to speak by Trump. At the podium, she said, “I will say that I am probably the president's number one fan, and that's not going to change.”

“And the hate or what people have to say, it does not affect me at all. It actually motivates me to support him more,” the 43-year-old singer added. She was also seen holding the Republican leader’s hand.

Minaj also received her “gold card” visa, which fast-tracks the process for wealthy immigrants to obtain US citizenship. To obtain the gold card, launched in December last year, applicants must pay $1 million (£723,650) along with a $15,000 (£10,854) processing fee.

While many have criticized the program, particularly amid the Immigration and Customs Enforcement crackdown that led to the deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, the ‘Anaconda’ hitmaker welcomed the initiative.

Drake previously blasted Trump during 2017 London concert

Meanwhile, regarding Drake following the president’s account, it has been noted that he previously followed the official POTUS account when Joe Biden was president.

There has been no comment yet from the ‘For All the Dogs’ singer about the recent move. However, in 2017, Drake had openly criticized Donald Trump. During his London concert, he said, “For some reason in my room, they have the TV set to CNN. Every day I wake up and see all this bullsh-t going in the world, people trying to tear us apart, people trying to make us turn against each other.”

“So tonight, my proudest moment isn’t selling tickets or having people singing songs. My proudest moment, if you take a look around at this room, you’ll see people from all races and all places, and all we did tonight was come inside this building, show love, celebrate life, more life and more music,” he stated.

Drake then appeared to reference Trump again as he added, “If you think one man can tear this world apart, you’re out of your motherf–king mind. It’s on us to keep this shit together. F**k that man.”
