LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Elon Musk has confirmed that the public "won’t be seeing" Kanye West’s X account anymore after the rapper engaged in a three-day online tirade filled with controversial statements.
West made multiple inflammatory remarks that included anti-Semitic, misogynistic, and racist comments and his outburst also took aim at Taylor Swift during the Super Bowl, further fueling long-standing tensions between the two artists.

Kanye West's X account deactivation
Kanye West, known for his unpredictable social media activity, deactivated his account on Sunday night, February 9, after posting a final message thanking Elon Musk for allowing him to "vent."
The musician described the experience as "cathartic" and compared it to an Ayahuasca trip.

Despite his sign-off, Musk later confirmed that West’s account had been classified as NSFW (not safe for work), effectively restricting its visibility.

Musk, who has faced criticism over content moderation on X, addressed West’s comments three days after they first appeared.
"Given what he has posted, his account is now classified as NSFW. You should not be seeing that anymore," Musk wrote in response to the controversy.
West’s rant also included claims that his social media reach was being limited, alleging that X was sabotaging his posts and preventing him from trending during the Super Bowl.
Kanye West's bizarre Super Bowl commercial
In a post before deactivating his account, he stated, "My Twitter reach has been limited so I am not allowed to trend during Super Bowl. I am setting up a discord channel on my website. Welcome to America."
In addition to his online remarks, West made headlines with a bizarre Super Bowl commercial for his fashion brand, Yeezy.

The ad, filmed on his iPhone, appeared to be shot in a dental office and featured the rapper claiming he had spent his entire advertising budget on a new set of teeth.
"I spent all the money for the commercial on these new teeth," he said in the clip while smiling and wearing sunglasses.
The rapper also reignited tensions with Musk, responding to a user who accused the Tesla founder of being a Nazi.

West wrote, "Since I'm getting kicked off Twitter soon. Everybody is a Nazi till a real Nazi pulls up."
This remark came just weeks after Musk was accused of making a Nazi salute during a speech at President Donald Trump's inauguration, a claim he has denied.

West’s spokesperson, Milo Yiannopoulos, confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that West had voluntarily deactivated his X account.
"Ye has deactivated his X account for the time being," Yiannopoulos stated on Sunday evening, February 9.
He also reiterated to Daily Mail that West was not banned but chose to leave the platform himself.
Taylor Swift and Kanye West's long-standing feud
This latest controversy adds to the nearly 15-year-long feud between West and Swift, which began at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards when West infamously interrupted Swift’s acceptance speech.
Their relationship has remained tumultuous, with additional disputes arising over West’s 2016 song 'Famous' and leaked phone conversations.
Despite his deactivation, West hinted at alternative online platforms for his future engagements.
