AUSTIN, TEXAS: Billionaire Elon Musk left podcaster Joe Rogan speechless with his take on why the Democrats are not reopening the government.

The Tesla titan joined 'The Joe Rogan Experience' for another marathon chat that covered a host of topics, one of them being illegals and the US border crisis.

According to Musk, the real reason Democrats refuse to “open the government” has nothing to do with policy gridlock or compassion.

Elon Musk believes Democrats will 'lose a lot of voters'

Musk claimed that financial benefits cooked up by left-leaning lawmakers have created what he called “a giant magnet” drawing illegal immigrants into the country, a setup that he says directly benefits the Democratic Party.

“The reason you have this standoff is because if the hundreds, hundreds of billions of dollars to create a financial incentive to like to have this giant magnet to attract illegals from every part of Earth to these states, if that is turned off, they — the illegals — will leave because they’re no longer being paid to come to the United States and stay here,” Musk said.

"Wow," Rogan responded, clearly stunned.

Musk pushed the point home, linking immigration incentives directly to future election prospects. “And then they will lose a lot of voters. The Democratic Party will lose a lot of voters,” he continued.

Rogan agreed. “And they would have a very difficult job if this is kicked out of reintroducing it into a new bill," he said, “Especially once things start normalizing."

“Yes,” Musk replied.

The SpaceX founder painted the Democrats' moves a threat to the republic. “So like, in a nutshell, the Democratic Party wants to destroy democracy by importing voters, and you know, the Republican Party disagrees with that,” Musk insisted.

Rogan continued, “And the ruse is that if you don’t accept what they’re doing, then you’re a threat to democracy...As they try to destroy democracy."

“Yes,” Musk said.

“By importing voters and incentivizing people to only vote for them and overwhelming the system," Rogan added.

“Yes, and by the way, it’s a strategy that, if allowed to work, would work, and in fact, has worked. California super majority Democrat," Musk noted. “And there’s so much gerrymandering that that occurs, it’s crazy.”

Elon Musk goes to bat for Donald Trump

In the same three-hour sit-down, Musk spoke about President Donald Trump and defended him from what he thought was an over-the-top demonization.

“Some people still think, you know, Trump is like the devil, basically. And, I mean, I think, I think Trump actually is not perfect, but he’s not evil. I spent a lot of time with him, and he’s — I mean, he’s a product of his time, but he is not, he’s not evil,” Musk said.

While acknowledging Trump’s flaws, Musk insisted that the President’s border policies made sense.

“There will be cases where they’ve been overzealous in expelling illegals,” Musk admitted. “But if you say that the standard must be perfection for expelling illegals, then you will not get any expulsion, because perfection is impossible.”

Musk insisted that Trump’s tough stance was actually a safeguard for democracy. “If Trump had lost, there would never have been another real election again, because Trump is actually enforcing the border,” he said.

Musk has had a roller-coaster of a relationship with Trump. After heavily endorsing and funding Trump’s return to the White House last year, Musk later clashed with him over several policy issues.

Now, the two may be back on friendly terms again. The White House just approved a massive $2 billion government contract for one of Musk’s companies.
