LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Elon Musk, the billionaire owner of the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), chose to amplify a controversial tweet that called for a government system run by “high status males” and “aneurotypical people" in place of democracy, on Sunday, September 1.

The original post was shared by an account named Autism Capital. According to Mediaite, its recent tweets suggest a right-wing affinity of the user, supporting former president Donald Trump and taking swipes at the Democratic tickets, Vice President Kamala Harris, and Minnesota Gov Tim Walz.

Elon Musk's controversial repost

Elon Musk reshared a post from Autism Capital on his account with the caption, "Interesting observation." It contained a screenshot of text, apparently from the site 4Chan, which argued how certain "males" were better suited for decision-making in society.

"People who can’t defend themselves physically (women and low T men) parse information through a consensus filter as a safety mechanism," it read. "They literally do not ask 'is this true', they ask 'will others be OK with me thinking this is true.'"

"This makes them very malleable to brute force manufactured consensus; if every screen they look at says the same thing they will adopt that position because their brain interprets it as everyone in the tribe believing it."

"Only high T alpha males and aneurotypical people (hey autists!) are actually free to parse new information with an objective 'is this true?' filter. This is why a Republic of high status males is best for decision making. Democratic, but a democracy only for those who are free to think," it concluded.

The original tweet had the caption, "Also known as the Reich effect.” According to Mediaite, it was a dig at attorney and author Robert Reign, an outspoken critic of Musk.

Internet trolls Elon Musk over his take

Musk's tweet limiting free thinkers to “high T alpha males and aneurotypical people" was strongly criticized on X.

"Musk comes out for disenfranchising everyone who isn’t a male celebrity or autistic... Does seem suboptimal that the owner of the most politically influential social media platform is now an open fascist," wrote Vox contributor Eric Levitz.

"Elon apparently now believes that 'only high T alpha males' and people with autism have the capacity to grasp the truth, rather than take comfort in conformity. That's some weird, self-congratulatory stuff," expressed another.

"Imagine thinking that high testosterone correlates with heightened ability to judge whether something is objectively true or not🤡," jibed a third.

"We are now reaching the 'Maybe women are chemically unsuited for the vote?' phase of Musk’s radicalisation journey," noted a fourth.

"Just noting Elon’s a rightwing media mogul and oligarch who wants you to believe he’s a centrist voice of reason who paid $44 billion to save free speech by platforming trumpers and election-and-vaccine deniers and amplifying his own AI and catturds and charging $8 a month for it," quipped a fifth.
