WASHINGTON, DC: Elon Musk has intensified his public attacks on President Donald Trump and the Department of Justice over their handling of the Jeffrey Epstein case, demanding the release of long-promised documents and accusing officials of misleading the public.

The feud, which erupted earlier this summer, reached new heights on July 7, when the tech mogul openly mocked Attorney General Pam Bondi and cast doubt on newly released security footage from Epstein's jail cell.

Musk, who recently launched his own political platform, the "America Party," has made Epstein-related transparency a core campaign promise. His escalating rhetoric reflects a growing split between former MAGA allies as Musk portrays Trump as complicit in a cover-up.

Elon Musk slams Donald Trump’s Jeffrey Epstein deflection

Responding to a July 12 Truth Social post in which Donald Trump defended Pam Bondi and dismissed renewed public scrutiny of the Jeffrey Epstein investigation, Elon Musk demanded accountability.

“Seriously. He said ‘Epstein’ half a dozen times while telling everyone to stop talking about Epstein. Just release the files as promised,” Musk wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

In the lengthy Truth Social post, which spanned over 400 words,” Trump insisted that the Epstein issue no longer warranted public focus or energy.

The president added, “What’s going on with my ‘boys’ and, in some cases, ‘gals?’ They’re all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a FANTASTIC JOB! We’re on one Team, MAGA, and I don’t like what’s happening.”

In a bizarre turn, Trump even claimed that the "files were written by Obama, Crooked Hillary, Comey, Brennan, and the Losers and Criminals of the Biden Administration."

He urged people to let Bondi do her job, before concluding his post writing, "One year ago our Country was DEAD, now it’s the 'HOTTEST' Country anywhere in the World. Let’s keep it that way, and not waste Time and Energy on Jeffrey Epstein, somebody that nobody cares about."

Elon Musk mocks DOJ and Pam Bondi over handling of Jeffrey Epstein case

In a separate post, Elon Musk accused Pam Bondi and the Department of Justice of hiding the truth about Jeffrey Epstein’s connections.

After the DOJ and FBI released a memo claiming there is “no incriminating client list,” Musk posted a meme showing a man applying clown makeup with captions mocking the official narrative.

It read, "First panel: 'We will release the Epstein list.' Second panel: 'We just need more time.' Third panel: 'The Epstein list is on my desk.' Final panel (fully made-up clown): 'There is no Epstein list.'"

In another post, the tech billionaire wrote, “What’s the time? Oh look, it’s no-one-has-been-arrested-o’clock again.”

The DOJ recently released security footage from Epstein’s jail cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York, where he was found dead in 2019. The video was meant to counter longstanding conspiracy theories about Epstein’s death.

Musk, however, cast doubt on its authenticity. “AI video generation is advancing at the speed of light,” he posted, implying that the footage may have been fabricated.

Back in February, Bondi informed that the Epstein client list was “sitting on my desk right now to review.” The DOJ now claims no such list exists, leading Musk to argue the public has been misled.

Elon Musk’s Epstein crusade deepens rift with MAGA base

Elon Musk’s recent attacks have widened a rift between him and Donald Trump’s MAGA base. Previously, in June, Musk claimed, without providing evidence, that Trump’s name appeared in Epstein-related documents.

"Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonald Trump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!" Musk had written. The post was later deleted but sparked outrage among Trump supporters.

Now, with the DOJ declaring the Epstein investigation effectively closed and no new arrests coming, frustration is mounting.

So far, the only person held accountable in the case has been Epstein’s longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell.
