NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: A devoted Elon Musk superfan has taken her admiration for the billionaire to new heights, literally, by filming a music video in the back of a Tesla Cybertruck.

The song, which celebrates Musk’s “master plan to save our lives,” has quickly gained notoriety online, though not necessarily for the reasons its creator had hoped.

Elon Musk tribute song goes viral for all the wrong reasons

Alessandra Basher, a self-described stay-at-home mom with aspirations of becoming a stand-up comedian, shared her now-viral video on March 23 with her 5,600 followers on X (formerly Twitter), the Independent reported.

What was intended as an ode to Musk’s innovations and leadership has instead been widely mocked, with critics calling it the “most cringe thing on the internet right now.”

Basher insists her motivation for writing the song stemmed from what she sees as “nonsense hate” directed at Musk, particularly for his alleged role in dismantling federal agencies under the Trump administration.

In the video, Basher passionately sings, “Space X flies, Tesla self drives, Starlink beams with laser dreams, he’s got a master plan for our lives.”

Donning a “The Dogefather” t-shirt—a pun reference to Musk's The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)—emblazoned with Musk’s face, she goes on to credit the tech mogul for “eliminating woke pain” and “making kids to keep mankind alive.”

Another particularly eyebrow-raising line declared, “One more kid, one more brand, launching rockets with just one hand.”

The video is interspersed with clips of Musk speaking at Trump rallies, further fueling the already polarizing reception.

Elon Musk superfan faces backlash as her ode to tech billionaire goes viral

Despite, or perhaps because of, its unconventional nature, Elon Musk superfan Alessandra Basher’s video has racked up 1.8 million views.

However, even on Musk’s own platform, X, the response has been largely negative.

Social media users have flooded the comments section of the post with everything, from secondhand embarrassment to outright mockery.

One X user asked, "Is this for real or are you just trying to be Elon’s next baby mama?"

Another added, "I was all good with it until the n*** salute."

Someone else commented, "It's a cult."

One person declared, "Not hate but it sounds like a worship song."

Another observed, "Something about this feels very similar to songs praising North Korean or Chinese leaders. Anyone else feel that?"

One individual explained, "This might be the single cringiest thing I've seen in my entire life."

So far, Musk himself has not responded to the viral tribute, leaving fans and critics alike wondering if he’ll acknowledge the spectacle or let it fade into internet infamy.
