Kim Kardashian's Cybertruck photoshoot comes amid growing backlash against Elon Musk
In the photos, Kim Kardashian posed in and around Elon Musk’s futuristic electric vehicle, which has become a lightning rod for controversy following the Tesla CEO's ties to President Donald Trump's administration and his actions to cut jobs as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

In recent months, Tesla has reportedly faced mounting criticism—including violent protests, arson, and gunfire targeting dealerships—as a backlash against Musk’s political affiliations and firing of federal employees.
As per Forbes, more than a dozen shots were fired at a Tesla dealership in Tigard, Oregon, marking the second incident at the location within a week. The gunfire damaged cars and store windows.

Another wrote, "Fascism isn’t cute or trendy kim."
One person pointed out, "Flop behavior."
Another follower asked, "You will do literally anything for money wont you?"
One individual stated, "An aging Kardashian dying to remain relevant. Fail!"
Another observed, "Oh Kim. This was not a good look."
As someone explained, "We already knew he had you in his pockets."
"Shameful in these times to pose with that," added one follower.
"Tackiest thing you've ever done & you're a smart girl so choosing to do this/post this was really an embarrassing choice," an individual declared.
"Imagine having unlimited resources, a global platform, and the power to influence millions—only to use it to glorify a billionaire actively making life worse for so many. This isn’t just tone-deaf; it’s a deliberate choice to align with greed, exploitation, and performative excess. With everything happening in the world, this is what you find worthy of celebration? Embarrassing," added another.
In response to the growing backlash, Kardashian clarified that the shoot was done last November in Malibu for Perfect Magazine.

The publication described the project as "an entire 34-page issue devoted to Kim Kardashian, photographed by Steven Klein and styled by Jahleel Weaver. Perfect issue 8.5 features a sci-fi near-future fantasy that looks suspiciously like real life, where one of the most significant icons of our age gets to grips with sleek new technology in the sumptuous location of her own home. ‘I think the big joke of me even doing the shoot with the robot is that I feel like I’m so robotic,’ she tells Michael Holden in an exclusive interview."
