Travis Kelce’s father, Ed Kelce, is sharing new details about the heartwarming moment he learned his son had proposed to Taylor Swift.

In an interview with ABC 5 Cleveland, the 74-year-old said Travis orchestrated a quiet, romantic setup before popping the question. “He got her out there, they were about to go out to dinner, and he said, ‘Let’s go out and have a glass of wine,’” Ed recalled. “They got out there, and that’s when he asked her. It was beautiful.”

Ed revealed that the proposal actually happened nearly two weeks before the public announcement. He was at a Philadelphia Eagles practice where his elder son Jason Kelce was assisting when the newly engaged couple called.

“I was at an Eagles public practice — there were 60,000 people there on a Sunday night,” Ed said. “At that practice, I got a FaceTime call from them. As soon as I saw Travis and then Taylor on the screen, I knew exactly what they were going to tell me. And sure enough, they let us know.”

The proud father added that the pair immediately shared the milestone with their loved ones. “They started FaceTiming me, their mother, and her folks to make sure everybody knew,” he said. “To see them together is great.”
