LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Emma Roberts is set to marry Cody John this weekend in Idaho, with three sources confirming the wedding plans to Page Six on Saturday, July 25, after TMZ first reported the news.

Emma Roberts' wedding plans revealed
According to reports, Roberts and John are set to marry this weekend at John's family estate in Idaho. The couple first went public with their relationship in 2022 after John shared a photo of them kissing on Instagram. News of their romance emerged in August 2022, when the PDA snapshot was posted.
According to E! News, the couple were introduced through mutual friends in the industry. At the time, a source said, "Emma loves Cody's personality. He's really funny and they have been having a good time together."
The same source also revealed that the pair were "taking it slow," explaining that Roberts wanted to be mindful of her son, Rhodes, while entering a new relationship. "Emma is cautious about bringing her son around new people but knows the day will come soon," the source shared.
Since making their relationship public, Roberts and John have largely kept their romance out of the spotlight, only occasionally sharing photos together on social media. The couple got engaged in July 2024 and announced the milestone with a joint Instagram post.
Roberts shared a photo with her arm around John while showing off her diamond engagement ring, captioning the image, "Putting this here before my mom tells everyone." Their engagement came nearly two years after their relationship first became public.
Emma Roberts kept romance with Cody John private
Roberts shares a son, Rhodes, with former boyfriend Garrett Hedlund. She and Hedlund welcomed their son in December 2020 before ending their relationship in 2021 after nearly three years together.
Following the split, Roberts reportedly chose not to rush into another relationship because of her son. According to reports, she wanted to take things slowly with John, despite enjoying their time together after being introduced by mutual friends.
Earlier in their relationship, John was the first to publicly confirm their romance by sharing a black-and-white photo of himself kissing Roberts. Alongside the post, he wrote, "Sweet sweet." She later made their relationship Instagram official on New Year's Eve that year, sharing a photo of the pair holding hands.
She captioned the post, "#2022 I loved you. Happy New Year hotties!" Previously, Roberts also spoke about her approach to dating in an interview with Flaunt, saying, "One day the veil was lifted and I didn't want to date actors anymore. It's hard, I think, for two actors to be together."
