Emma Stone fears marital issues after becoming business partners with husband Dave McCary: Source

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Emma Stone reportedly fears her four-year marriage to husband Dave McCary is on the brink of collapse ever since they joined hands in business.
The Oscar-winning actress, 36, and McCary, 39, launched their uber successful film and television production company, Fruit Tree, in 2020, the same year they tied the knot. Since then, the production house has made a deal with Universal Pictures and produced eight TV shows and movies, including 'The Curse' and 'A Real Pain'.

However, a source close to the couple shared that while the couple’s business partnership is soaring over their multiple collaborations, their marriage has reportedly come under strain.
Emma Stone sees success forming cracks in her marriage to Dave McCary
Speaking to Radar Online, a source close to the couple shared that though the pair is conquering Hollywood with their back-to-back successes, it has also put a strain on their marital relationship.
After becoming business partners, the married couple has less time for romance, and all their sweet talks have been swapped for boardroom discussions.
"Emma has wondered, even with their success, if it was a good idea to become business partners with Dave," shared the tipster, referencing the couple’s marriage.
They added, "These days, their conversations are more boardroom than bedroom, and that zaps the spice out of a marriage.”

"And she knows what these film partnerships have done in other Hollywood couples," added the insider while referring to the failed business partnerships between previously married couples.
While Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt started their Plan B Entertainment during their marriage, the production house suffered a dismal fate when the partnership broke down with the crumbling of their marriage in 2005.
Similarly, Reese Witherspoon and her ex-husband Jim Toth’s company, Hello Sunshine, fell under the axe in 2021 when they sold a majority stake to Candle Media, a Blackstone-backed media company, before divorcing in 2023.
"Emma sees success forming cracks in her marriage. Especially since her name is much bigger than Dave's and his ego gets hurt when power brokers only want to take meetings with her," the source shared.
"She fears that with their business success, their marriage could become another casualty of Hollywood," they noted about the ‘La La Land’ star.
A source previously said Dave McCary was '100 percent behind' Emma Stone
While the insider shared that there might trouble brewing in the couple’s paradise, it comes off as a long way from the time when a separate source claimed that the Emmy-nominated ‘Saturday Night Live’ writer was "100 percent" supportive of her.
In September 2023, a source shared with Us Weekly, "Acting is as vital to her as breathing, it’s a part of who she is—and Dave’s 100 percent behind her."

"She and Dave are happy as a couple and one of the reasons why is they respect each other as artists," continued the source, before adding that the actress has "a great set-up" to balance family and work.
Referencing the couple’s daughter, Louise Jean McCary, born in 2021, the insider continued, "They love their little family. Louise has brought them so much joy and they’re growing and learning every day. They’re in this together.
"Emma still has the Hollywood ambition and drive and determination to do her best work and it keeps her going, and she believes doing what she loves will also make her a better mom," they concluded.
