NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Eric Trump has launched a fiery defense of his father, Donald Trump, attacking his cousin Fred Trump III for releasing a controversial memoir, as reported by the Daily Mail.

In a heated post on X, Eric labeled Fred a freeloader, accusing him of capitalizing on family secrets just 100 days before the upcoming election. The feud came to a head publicly when Eric took to X to express his disapproval.

"It's disappointing that after decades of unwavering love, support, golf memberships, family vacations, and millions of dollars in support for his wonderful son, Fred Trump has decided to 'cash in' less than a 100 days before an election," Eric wrote.

He continued, "I have signed the checks and witnessed firsthand as my father, and our family, has provided endless financial support so that Fred’s son could receive the best possible medical care. To read this garbage and see that he has now followed his troubled sister simply to earn a quick buck is disgusting, disheartening, and a prime example of 'no good deed goes unpunished.'"

The post came after Fred, 61, released his memoir, 'All in the Family: The Trumps and How We Got This Way,' filled with explosive allegations against his uncle, Trump.

Fred claimed that Trump once said his severely disabled son "should just die," and accused him of manipulating his grandfather Fred Sr into signing away Fred’s inheritance.

The memoir paints a damning picture of Trump, calling him "evil" and recalling childhood incidents where his siblings reportedly threw mashed potatoes at him out of dislike.

Fred's memoir delves into the Trump family's complex dynamics, offering a critical view of their privileged upbringing in Queens, New York. He recounts how Tiffany Trump endured a "painful" childhood due to rumors surrounding her mother, Marla Maples.

Maples' marriage to Trump became a tabloid sensation in the 1990s, marred by allegations of infidelity.

Fred also claims that his aunt Maryanne Trump Barry, a former federal judge, disapproved of Maples and was infuriated by Trump's immigration policies during his presidency, allegedly calling them "abhorrent."

Further controversy arose from Fred's recollection of a racially charged incident involving Trump. In a chapter titled 'The Race Card,' Fred describes an event from his childhood where Trump allegedly used a racial slur.

He recalled Trump's anger over damage to his El Dorado convertible, reportedly blaming the incident on a specific racial group.

In response to these claims, Trump Campaign Communications Director Steven Cheung categorically denied the allegations, calling them "completely fabricated and total fake news of the highest order."

Eric Trump gains support online after Fred Trump III's memoir

The memoir’s release sparked widespread reactions, especially on social media as Eric's supporters quickly rallied behind him.

One X user stated, "In my opinion, there is nothing worse than disloyalty. Nothing." Another user criticized, "Trust must be earned constantly and loyalty, especially within a family, is paramount. Trust in God. Know the majority of Americans trust your father to stand for America."

"Very sad and pathetic! You can pick your friends but you can’t pick your family. One day he will reap what he’s sown!" wrote one user. Another added, "There’s always a few bad apples in every barrel. Don’t worry about them. For every traitorous relative, President has 50 million MAGA friends who are loyal to him. Trump 2024."

"The worst betrayal is when it's family," one wrote. Another comment read, "There is no deeper pain than having a traitor as a family member! They don’t understand that it’s actually a reflection of their character and not yours. Stay strong."

One user remarked, "Sometimes, family is just the worst. We love you all, though!!!" Finally, another user concluded, "His legacy will be one of betrayal…and being on the wrong side of history."
