MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN: Former president Donald Trump's son Eric Trump teased about his plans to run for president with his father's former GOP primary opponent Vivek Ramaswamy as running mate.

Eric revealed his future political ambitions to conservative media personality Benny Johnson on Tuesday, July 16, at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee (RNC) in the presence of Ramaswamy.

The Indian-origin biotech entrepreneur ended his Republican primary race and endorsed the 45th president in January after his disappointing performance in the Iowa caucus. Since then, he stood as a hardcore supporter of the ex-president's third White House bid.

"Eric, are you a little bit sad that you don't get to see Vivek debate [Vice President] Kamala Harris for VP?" Benny Johnson asked him, Newsweek reported.

Ramaswamy's name was initially speculated to be a top choice for Donald Trump's running mate pick. However, the former president ended the months of suspense by announcing Ohio Senator JD Vance as the vice presidential pick on the convention's first day. As per recent reports, speculation is mounting on the possibility of Ramaswamy replacing Vance's Senate seat in Ohio.

Eric voiced that he was sad for Ramaswamy losing the VP chance, stating, "I am."

"I would love to see my man right here as my running mate in 2032," he added, signaling his plans to embark on a White House race in the future.  "I would love to see him debate Kamala."

However, it remains unclear why Eric chose 2032 to run for president. If his father won in November, his presidency would only end in January 2029, as he would not be able to run for another re-election bid in 2028.

Though he was part of the real estate mogul's 2016 and 2020 presidential campaigns, he lacks expertise in politics. Eric, who is the executive vice president of The Trump Organization, along with his elder brother, Donald Trump Jr, is known for his background in business.

The third born was the one to announce his 78-year-old father as the Republican presumptive nominee on day one of the RNC. "On behalf of our entire family, and on behalf of the 125 delegates in the unbelievable state of Florida, we hereby nominate every single one of them for the greatest president that's ever lived, and that's Donald J Trump, hereby declaring him the Republican nominee for president of the United States of America," he said in the presence of others in the Trump family.

Internet rejects the idea of another Trump running for president

Responding to Eric Trump's indication of running for president in 2032, netizens predicted "doom", suggesting they did not want one more Trump to be the nation's head.

"We are doomed," one social media user said.

"Haven't we suffered enough?" asked another.

"OMG, please answer my prayers, 'No more Trumps!'" added another person.

"Hell no man. Keep the trump family away from politics. Their policies are trash and their character isn’t right to rep the US," read one response.

"Dear Lord Baby Jesus in the Manger we’re never getting rid of these damn Trumps…." another individual said.

"They are never going away, are they," someone else chimed in.

"Enough of the political dynasties. People are excited for Donald Trump himself and not the "Trump" family name," one person wrote.

"So there you have it, folks. Loud and clear, and in his own words, Eric Trump declared his run for the presidency 2032. The end of democracy and the beginning of our permanently installed monarchy called the royal Trump family on the throne for an eternity. Just food for thought," another wrote.
