WASHINGTON, DC: Erika Kirk paid tribute to her late husband, Charlie Kirk, in an emotional anniversary message that touched supporters across social media.

On Friday, May 8, Erika shared a heartfelt video featuring moments from their engagement, wedding and family life, alongside a deeply personal message about grief, faith and the love they shared together.

Erika Kirk says her children will know their parents’ love story

In the emotional post shared on X, Erika Kirk opened up about the pain of celebrating another anniversary without Charlie by her side.

Still, she said their love story would continue through the family they built together.

“Even though our kids won’t see our love ‘grow old together’ from an earthly stand point; they’ll see it from a Heavenly one,” Erika wrote. “And I’ll tell them of our love story any moment I can. Happy Anniversary to the love of my life.”

Charlie Kirk’s death remains part of national political debate

More than half a year after Charlie Kirk’s death, conversations surrounding political violence in America continue to bring renewed attention to his legacy and the impact his loss had on supporters and conservative circles.

Following Charlie’s death last year, Erika Kirk was unanimously elected as the new CEO of Turning Point USA.

Since stepping into the leadership role, she has continued speaking publicly about the emotional toll of losing her husband while also carrying forward the organization he helped lead.

His death has remained a recurring subject during conversations surrounding political rhetoric and violence in the country.

Erika also previously addressed the issue during remarks made after attending the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner.

Speaking later on her show, she strongly criticized the political climate and accused critics of contributing to dangerous divisions.

“Our country has become unrecognizable; these people have perverted the truth to the point that they motivated the murder of my husband,” Erika said at the time.

“They have continuously tried to assassinate the president, and anyone who stands in their way is labeled ‘hateful,’ ‘racist,’ ‘fascist’ and every other trigger word that is grossly dishonest.”

Erika Kirk opens up about grief after Charlie Kirk’s death

The anniversary tribute also reflected emotions Erika Kirk previously shared in an Instagram post a month after Charlie’s death.

“There is no linear blueprint for grief,” Erika wrote, describing the emotional highs and lows she has faced while raising their children and remembering her husband.

“They say time heals. But love doesn’t ask to be healed. Love asks to be remembered,” she added, saying her love for Charlie had only grown stronger through loss. “And what I’ve realized through these past 30 days is the greater the suffering, the purer the love. And I have never loved him more than I do now.”
