WASHINGTON, DC: Former Republican National Committee (RNC) chair Michael Steele slammed Donald Trump, calling him a "visceral animal" for sharing a video that contained a printed photo of President Joe Biden hogtied, which recently made headlines, as per The Hill.

The MSNBC political analyst expressed his disappointment towards the GOP presumptive nominee on Saturday, March 30, and said that the concept of thinking before speaking something "is way above Donald Trump’s paygrade, or I think, intellectual capacity because he’s a visceral animal politically and in business."

Steele added, "He feels that what he says is truth and I think that is part of the problem in this environment, is he thinks it’s truth what he’s saying."

Donald Trump's increased attack against his opponents

On Friday, Trump took to his Truth Social platform to share a short clip in which a truck is seen with a printed photo of an apparently hogtied President Biden.

The White House hopeful has also ramped up his attacks against the judges overseeing his criminal cases. He has repeatedly targeted Judge Juan Merchan, who is overseeing the hush money trial, and his daughter in his social media posts, even after a partial gag order was issued against him.

Weighing in on Trump's moves, Steele said that courts are treating him like any ordinary person. The ex-RNC chair expressed, "But [Trump] has shown his capacity to not give a damn about that. And so it still amazes me how much the system bends itself over backward."

Questioning Merchan's decision to exclude himself from the gag order despite the attacks from Trump, Steele pointed out "how many times" has the ex-president demonstrated that he "is a bad actor in this space."

He mentioned, "I mean, I don’t get it at all. I’m confused about how the system still does not respond to the thing in front of it."

Steele, who served as RNC chair from 2009 to 2011, has turned into a vehement critic of Trump in recent years. Earlier this month, he lashed out at the ex-POTUS for claiming his MAGA movement has "taken over" GOP.

In another instance, Steele urged anti-Trump Republicans to vote for Biden in the November election.

Internet reacts to Michael Steele slamming Donald Trump

One remarked, "In related news, Michael Steele is totally irrelevant," and another said, "Michael, you need to find a corner and stay in it. You've become a supporter of the Socialist, why."

A person simply wrote, "Sit down Steele," while someone else shared, "Steele was a disaster as an RNC chair. He should and disappear."

An individual declared, "Another ridiculous comment by the anti Trump crowd. Steele is a paid parrot for democrats."
