MONTECITO, CALIFORNIA: As per experts King Charles III may be quietly breathing a sigh of "relief" after President Donald Trump stated he has no intention of deporting Prince Harry back to the United Kingdom, despite ongoing scrutiny over the royal’s immigration status.

According to royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams, Charles is likely grateful to avoid the media circus that would erupt if Harry were forcibly sent back.

"It would put the spotlight back on the Sussexes," something the royal family is keen to avoid. Fitzwilliams told Fox News Digital, "Harry would undoubtedly appeal. The publicity would be ceaseless. Apart from the fact that the royal family is the [UK] government’s trump card in dealing with the most unpredictable president of them all, Harry is in self-imposed exile and the royal family have health struggles and do not trust the Sussexes."

The tension between the Sussexes and the royal family remains high, particularly as Charles continues to navigate health challenges while maintaining his duties as King. Fitzwilliams noted that Harry and Meghan Markle’s return to the UK would be anything but welcomed, as their popularity among the British public remains low outside younger demographics.

Royal expert Hillary Fordwich shared with Fox News Digital, "Regarding his wayward son Harry, it’s far better that he remains out of sight and out of mind. (Charles) remains focused on both his cancer recovery and dedication to duty, serving his people." Charles "has always been conflict-averse," Fordwich explained.

Royal commentators Fitzwilliams and Fordwich weighed in on the situation after UK Daily Mail's Richard Eden suggested that King Charles might find it a “relief” if Prince Harry stayed in California with his family.

Trump, confirmed to the New York Post that he had no interest in deporting the Duke of Sussex, despite pressure from conservative groups questioning whether Harry received preferential treatment in securing his US visa.

"I don’t want to do that," Trump told the New York Post on Friday when questioned about deporting the royal. "I’ll leave him alone. He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible," he added.

Fitzwilliams argued that "Trump was never likely to deport Harry, regardless of what he included on his visa application form."

"He has other priorities and also knows it would make them popular in Hollywood, something they have otherwise failed to achieve," he explained and continued, "This would have been ironic. Now we know it won’t happen."

Meanwhile, Fordwich emphasized that for King Charles, "continuity of the monarchy is of paramount concern." She added that at 76, the king must stay "above politics," making it inappropriate for him to comment publicly on Harry’s visa situation.

Fordwich suggested that Trump likely sees keeping Harry in the US as a strategic move in his favor.

"President Trump is no fool, he cherishes his relationship with the British royals and most certainly wouldn’t have spoken out of turn regarding the deportation of Harry as he’s looking forward to his next invitation to Buckingham Palace," she explained. "Therefore, we can be assured he is in lockstep with Charles," she stated.
