Experts weigh in as Ivanka Trump sparks plastic surgery rumors with ‘too perfect’ social media photos
WASHINGTON, DC: Recent social media posts by Ivanka Trump have fueled plastic surgery speculations. Plastic surgeons, in a conversation with Daily Mail, suggested that the former first daughter looked almost "too perfect" in the photos shared recently on Instagram.
The 42-year-old Ivanka has never acknowledged undergoing any aesthetic enhancements, yet this hasn't stopped the persistent rumors over the years.
Ivanka Trump's recent pictures draw attention
Dr Benjamin Caughlin, a Chicago-based plastic surgeon, drew attention to a mirror selfie shared by Ivanka Trump from Paris, where she is seen in a coordinating lilac outfit and sporting a pouty look.
Her chin and jawline seem more pronounced than before, which Dr Caughlin suggests is probably due to fillers.
Caughlin said, "Volume in the right spots can really make a difference."
He added, "You can widen the mandible laterally. You can also lengthen it posteriorly. You can make the body of the mandible and the body of the jaw a little bit longer. It can be really slenderizing, particularly in females."

In a photo shared in July, Ivanka showcased her sleek profile donning a yellow dress. In the image, she showcased her ski-slope nose.
Dr Darrick Antell, a Manhattan-based plastic surgeon, stated, "The tip of her nose appears to be more projected and refined, but this could have been achieved with non-surgical rhinoplasty with filler. She likely had it done to add balance to the rest of her features."

Experts have suggested that Ivanka may have undergone rhinoplasty, often called a nose job, which could have been performed more than once to streamline her profile.
Dr Joel Kopelman, a facial plastic surgeon based in New York City, stated, "In some cases, achieving a highly refined nasal shape, like the 'ski slope' appearance, may require more than one procedure."
He added, "The initial rhinoplasty could address structural issues or the overall size of the nose, while a secondary (revision) rhinoplasty might be performed to further refine the tip or adjust the nasal bridge."
Ivanka Trump's chin comes under scrutiny amid cosmetic enhancement speculations
Ivanka Trump's chin has come under public scrutiny since her appearance at her father Donald Trump's civil fraud trial in New York City in November 2023.
Her chin, which was smaller and seemed more recessed in 2020, has become more prominent in 2023 and 2024.
To enhance the chin, surgeons make an incision in the skin near the chin bone and stretch it to form a pocket for an implant, which elongates and accentuates the chin.
Dr Joel Kopelman told the outlet that her jaw looks broader in some photos dating back to the spring.
He added, "I would speculate that she may have had masseter Botox… typically used to slim the face, but it can cause a temporary widening effect while the muscle is adjusting."
Botox injections into the masseter muscles, which are situated at the back of the jaw on each side of the face, can slim the appearance of the jawline. This is achieved by decreasing the muscle size and limiting their movement, resulting in a more defined contour.
"Another possibility is the use of chin or jaw implants, which can enhance the structure of the lower face and give that more angular look," Kopelman added.
"I see patients requesting this more frequently now to achieve that sharper, more contoured jawline."
Experts suggest Ivanka Trump’s fuller cheeks may be due to fillers
Dr Steven Fallek, a New York plastic surgeon and Medical Advisor for Maskad Skincare, noted that Ivanka Trump's cheeks look more voluminous than in previous photos taken in Paris, particularly noticeable toward the sides of her face at the outer edges.
Kopelman added, "Looking at the example [her latest post], I would say that she likely has received cheek fillers."
He went on to say, "Her cheeks do appear fuller than in past photos, and this fuller appearance is often the result of well-placed fillers. It's a subtle way to refresh the face without surgery, and it's something I frequently recommend for patients looking to enhance their natural structure."
Kopelman mentioned that the recent photographs, "her flawless skin is likely a combination of Botox, lasers, and possibly a bit of photo editing for an extra polished look".
"I often see my patients use all three together to create that perfect finish", he said.
