NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA: Kansas City Chiefs dream of completing a three-peat at Super Bowl 2025 was shattered after their loss to Philadelphia Eagles 40-22 on Sunday, February 9. President Donald Trump was also present at the Caesars Superdome to witness the first half of the final.

Now a rumor has made its way online claiming that President Trump blamed the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl loss on DEI, USAID, and Taylor Swift. But is there any truth to this? Let us find out below.

Claim: Trump blamed Chiefs' 2025 Super Bowl loss on DEI, USAID, and Taylor Swift

After the Kansas City Chiefs' loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, a rumor circulated online claiming that Trump blamed diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), the US Agency for International Development (USAID), and pop icon Taylor Swift for the Chiefs' 18-point loss, according to Snopes.

Several posts across social media platforms shared a screenshot of a Trump post. A user on X (formerly Twitter) attached the screenshot and wrote in the caption, "#Trump does not know respect, decency or decorum. He’s attacking everyone and everything: @taylorswift13, the Chiefs, the Eagles, DEI, and USAID in a single post."

As per the screenshot, the alleged Trump post read, "The Chiefs' Super Bowl performance was a DISASTER—totally EMBARRASSING! Maybe too focused on DEI nonsense instead of WINNING? Meanwhile, the Eagles get all the help—USAID money flowing in like water. And let's not forget Taylor Swift—her presence was a DISTRACTION for Travis Kelce. The only good part? The MASSIVE cheers for me—louder than anything in the game! People are saying the MOST EVER at a Super Bowl. The fans know!"

False: Trump did not make any such post on Truth Social

The rumor circulated online in the viral post is false as there is no evidence to back the claim that Donald Trump posted the above statement on his Truth Social account, according to Snopes.

Moreover, a look at Trump's Truth Social feed shows no post that matches the shared image nor any evidence that any such post was later deleted.

Furthermore, the font used in the viral screenshot is not the default font of Truth Social, per the outlet. Social Media platform X has also labeled the post as false.

Notably, Trump did make two posts related to Super Bowl 2025. In a post he wrote, "The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!"

Meanwhile, the other post read, "The worst part of the Super Bowl, by far, was watching the Kickoff where, as the ball is sailing through the air, the entire field is frozen, stiff. College Football does not do it, and won't! Whose idea was it to ruin the Game?"

Donald Trump trolls Taylor Swift after she is booed at Super Bowl 2025

Donald Trump trolled Taylor Swift after she was booed while the President was cheered at Caesars Superdome in a ruthless post on Sunday.

Notably, Trump shared videos of the loud applause he got compared to the boos the pop singer received when she was shown on the big screen, according to Daily Mail.

Moreover, he went on to share another user's post with the caption, "Trump gets massive cheers at the Super Bowl while Taylor Swift gets booed."

Taylor Swift did not have a great evening on Sunday as she watched her beau Travis Kelce’s Chiefs getting tormented by the Eagles, and Trump’s post only added to her misery.

Interestingly, Trump’s trolling comes despite him having predicted a win for the Chiefs and praised their Trump-supporting quarterback Patrick Mahomes, per the outlet.
