NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: A news claim circulating online suggests that Sharon Osbourne, wife of the late Black Sabbath co-founder Ozzy Osbourne, donated $20 million to the Charlie Kirk Memorial Fund. 

An X (formerly known as Twitter) post also shared the same news two days after it was published. The question remains, what’s the story behind this claim, and is it actually true?

Claim: Sharon Osbourne donated $20 million to the Charlie Kirk Memorial Fund

The article was published on Monday, October 13, 2025, by the website thebeatles.vietut.com. According to the report, Osbourne allegedly made the announcement “before a modest group of reporters and cameras” and that it had “already sparked national attention.”

The piece read: "BREAKING NEWS: Sharon Osbourne Stuns America with a $20 Million Pledge to the Charlie Kirk Memorial Fund, Created by Erika Kirk to carry forward her late husband's legacy, the fund is dedicated to empowering 'America's Future' through thousands of student scholarships, national leadership programs, and faith-based initiatives."

In the same published article, a quote was shared: "Ozzy always believed in second chances, in people rising from darkness into purpose,” Sharon said. “This is my way of honoring that spirit and helping Charlie’s dream live on.”

Just two days later, on Wednesday, October 15, @DabbKen, whose full name is MAGA conservative Dr Ken Dabb, shared the same news post on X (formerly known as Twitter), using the same headline along with an added caption, “Speaking from Los Angeles, Sharon said her decision was deeply personal. Ozzy always believed in second chances, in people rising from darkness into purpose."

Fact Check: False, no evidence to back the viral claim

The report claiming that Sharon Osbourne donated $20 million to the Charlie Kirk Memorial Fund is completely false. No credible news organization has reported such a story, and searches on Google News and Yahoo News show no legitimate coverage of this alleged donation.

Additionally, there is no mention of any donation on Osbourne’s official Instagram account. Her most recent public post was made before Kirk’s death on September 10 and contains no reference to any such contribution or statement.

The Charlie Kirk Memorial Fund was created by Turning Point USA after Kirk’s death at Utah Valley University on September 20, 2025. The fund is managed by Erika Kirk, Charlie Kirk’s wife and the current CEO of Turning Point USA. So far, no official statements from either Sharon Osbourne or Turning Point USA confirm any donation.
