NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: A news report claims President Donald Trump mentioned George Washington while discussing his own MRI report. According to a Facebook post, Trump said, "They said of all the MRIs done on presidents going back to George Washington, this is the first time nothing was found."

The post, shared a few days ago, has gained significant attention across social media. The claim surfaced following the president’s MRI scan and health checkup in October.

So, what is the truth behind these claims? Let’s take a closer look and separate fact from fiction.

Fact Check: False, no evidence to back the viral claim

Let’s start by clarifying the first issue. Donald Trump, 79, did not compare his MRI scan to George Washington. He also made no mention of Washington receiving an MRI. The actual comments came on October 27, 2025, when Trump spoke to reporters on Air Force One about his medical report.

He said, "I did, I got an MRI. It was perfect. Yep. I gave you the full results. We had an MRI in the machine, the whole thing, and it was perfect, yeah." He went on to add, "We have doctors traveling with us, but I think they gave you a very conclusive."

He continued, "Nobody has ever given you reports like I gave you. And if I didn’t think it was going to be good either, I would let you know negatively, I wouldn’t run, I’d do something. But the doctor said some of the best reports for the age, some of the best reports they’ve ever seen."

Moreover, reputable outlets like the New York Post, Fox News, BBC News, and other publications have not reported any such claims about the president. Trump did undergo an MRI, which was confirmed by White House Press Secretary Karoline Claire Leavitt on Thursday, November 13.
