WASHINGTON, DC: Amid the surfacing of a new set of emails linking President Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein, Republican Congresswoman Nancy Mace delivered an emotional statement to the press, condemning what she called ‘fake news’ for focusing on Trump instead of focusing on the stories of the victims.

She expressed frustration with both the press and the Democrats.

Sharing an excerpt of the video of her speaking to the press, Nancy Mace wrote, “Shame on the FAKE NEWS for making this story about President Trump, and not about Epstein’s victims. So many of us NEVER SEE JUSTICE. I stand with all survivors. I will NEVER abandon you. HOLD THE LINE.”

Speaking to the reporters, she said, “This isn't political for me, this is deeply personal.” She added, “I will never abandon survivors.”

She continued, “This is difficult for me because I know how hard they're fighting for themselves and for their own justice, and so many of us survivors never get justice.”

She described writing a letter to Trump, highlighting the abuse and harassment she faced at various stages of life.

She went on to explain, “I worked tirelessly when I found evidence of sexual assault being filmed, and worked tirelessly overnight with my attorneys to turn it over to law enforcement.”

“I’m two years in now, and no one has been arrested. So my heart and my pain is with the Epstein victims.” She further noted that her “heart is with everybody across the country, every single person who’s being abused.”

Slamming the press, she said, “I’m deeply frustrated with the press. All this focus on Trump, who’s been exonerated by the Epstein victims. And we’re not focused on the Epstein victims or their stories.”

Questioning about the perpetrators who are not being behind bars, she said, “Those are the stories I want to hear, that I wanna see the press tell.” She added, “Tell the stories of the Epstein victims."

Slamming the Democrats, she said, “Look what the Democrats did today, they released what two or three emails? Republicans released twenty thousand emails because they just want to focus on one little thing."

"The Democrats redacted emails to try to spin the story and lie to the press. Republicans, they release them all. They were unredacted. This is a game the Democrats are playing. I think it's disingenuous to women, survivors, and everyone who’s been through something like this.”

Pointing out one of the infuriating issues for the reason victims don’t come forward, she said, “I don't like playing politics with rape. But that’s what the Democrats are doing.”
