Fans urge Taylor Swift to ‘move on’ after she consoles Brittany Mahomes over Chiefs’ Christmas Day loss

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI: Taylor Swift was spotted consoling her new close friend, Brittany Mahomes, following the Kansas City Chiefs' devastating defeat to the Las Vegas Raiders on Christmas Day.

Swift, who had dedicated her holiday to cheering on boyfriend Travis Kelce, appeared somber as she comforted Patrick Mahomes' wife in the VIP Suite at Arrowhead Stadium after the Raiders triumphed over the Chiefs with a score of 20-14.

In the meantime, the Chiefs' tight end and quarterback seemed dejected on the sidelines as the game concluded. Kelce was even observed hurling his helmet in frustration at one point.

Taylor Swift consoles Brittany Mahomes 

The sight of Taylor Swift comforting Brittany Mahomes led many social media users to comment on the Kansas City Chiefs' defeat to the Raiders on Christmas Day.

During the earlier part of the game, the 34-year-old singer was seen enthusiastically supporting Kelce, also 34, alongside her parents, Andrea and Scott Swift, and her brother, Austin Swift.

Austin, 31, was spotted in a Santa Claus outfit, joining his family in cheering for his sister's boyfriend.

For the event, Taylor chose to wear a festive red cable-knit sweater and a Santa hat adorned with Kelce’s jersey number on the fur trim.

Brittany, 28, matched her best friend by also donning a hat featuring Patrick's jersey number on the trim.

Brittany and Patrick, who have been a couple since their high school days, got married in 2022.

Since Taylor started dating Kelce over the summer, she and Brittany have become very close and have been seen out together on multiple occasions.

On the eve of Christmas, Kelce and Swift reportedly spent time together in Kansas City, Missouri, before the game, per Page Six.

Internet trolls Chiefs' loss to Raiders

The Internet swiftly responded to the Chiefs' defeat to the Raiders, particularly after Swift was observed consoling Mahomes.

A X user tweeted, "Taylor please move on, you are the GOAT and deserve someone who wins."

"We only care about Taylor," said a Swiftie. 

"No repeat for the Chiefs!!" stated another. 

One person joked, "Taylor straight jinxing the chiefs lol."

"Finally realizing they're with literal losers," one user brutally remarked.
