Flavor Flav recalls time when Miley Cyrus 'smacked' him after he mistook her for Gwen Stefani

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Flavor Flav, 64, recently recalled a memorable moment of his life when he mistook Miley Cyrus for Gwen Stefani and received a smack from the 'Hannah Montana' star for that.

Flavor Flav remembers his first meeting with Miley Cyrus

During his appearance on the 'Just B with Bethenny Frankel' podcast, Flavor Flav, who reunited with Cyrus during the 2024 Grammy Awards event, shared, "There was a time a few years back when they both had the same exact haircut. That’s the thing that got me," as per Hollywood Life.

Referring to the 'Flowers' singer's hairdo from that time, the rapper added, "When I ran across Miley first time ever in my life I was like, 'Oh my God, Gwen Stefani, Gwen Stefani!' You know what? Miley didn't say anything. She just went along with it." 

 Flavor Flav further recalled that when he walked away from the singer, one of his friends pointed out that he mistook Cyrus for Stefani.

The 'Fight The Power' crooner expressed, "I turned around, and I ran back to her. I was like, 'Oh my God, I'm so sorry. Yo, Miley Cyrus, I know who you are now. Your dad Billy Ray Cyrus.' I was like, ‘Oh my God, I’m so stupid.'" 

He then revealed, "She smacked me in the face. Miley Cyrus slapped Flavor Flav in the face, and I said, 'I won’t let it happen again.' We laughed it off."

In a viral video from the 2024 Grammy Awards, Cyrus was seen hugging the 'Bring the Noise' rapper and joking she "made it" because he remembers her.

She was heard saying, "You don’t think I’m Gwen Stefani anymore," before adding, "You used to call me Gwen every time I saw you."

Flavor Flav responded, "I know," as Cyrus showcased her love for the exchange and said, "I love it."

Flavor Flav had a heartwarming interaction with Taylor Swift at the 2024  Grammys

During the 2024 Grammys, Flavor Flav, who describes himself as a huge Swiftie, got the chance to interact with Taylor Swift.

The rapper shared with the Los Angeles Times that he "got to get some Taylor time" at the awards show after he attended the Eras Tour show in 2023, as per PEOPLE Magazine. 

He shared, "The discussion [at the event] was about me congratulating her on all her success. And me being a big fan of hers, a big supporter of hers."

The rapper noted, "Having her acknowledge that her fan base 'Swifties' gave me a name, 'King Swiftie.' I said, 'You know they call me King Swiftie?' She said, 'I know!'"

Gushing at the interaction, he said, "Yo, when I heard her say that, that was huge for me."
