BRIDGEPORT, CONNECTICUT: The Foo Fighters have pulled out of the Soundside Music Festival in Bridgeport, Connecticut, just days before the event.
The announcement follows frontman Dave Grohl's recent admission of fathering a child outside of his 21-year marriage.

In a brief statement on Thursday, September 26, the band shared they will "no longer be appearing" at the festival as planned.
They added, "Please check the festival website for more information." No further explanation was given for the sudden cancellation.

The cancellation comes amid frontman Dave Grohl's controversy. Grohl revealed in a statement on September 10 that he had "recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage."
Grohl, who has been married to Jordyn Blum since 2003, said he intends to be a "loving and supportive parent" to the child.
He wrote, "I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness." Grohl and Blum share three daughters, aged 10 to 18.

Foo Fighters’ last-minute cancellation
Foo Fighters were originally set to headline the Soundside Music Festival on Sunday, September 29.
The festival announced on X that Jack White and Greta Van Fleet would now take over as headliners.
"Unfortunately, Foo Fighters have announced they're no longer performing this weekend," the festival shared on X.

The festival lineup also includes Noah Kahan, Boyz II Men, Bleachers, Norah Jones, and Teddy Swims, as per USA Today.
It kicks off on Saturday, with the Foo Fighters having recently wrapped up their 'Everything or Nothing at All' tour.
As of now, the band has no upcoming live dates listed on their website.
