MANHATTAN, NEW YORK CITY: Fox News host Jesse Watters made a blunder by confusing South Dakota with South Carolina while discussing President Joe Biden's response to Special Counsel Robert Hur’s classified documents report.

The mistake occurred on the night of the February 8 episode on Fox News, shortly after President Biden held a press conference on the matter.

Watters mistakenly calls Noem South Carolina Governor, netizens react on social media

During his show, 'Jesse Watters Primetime,' Watters invited South Dakota Governor, Kristi Noem to join him. However, he inadvertently introduced her, saying, "South Carolina Governor Kristi Noem joins us now,” Watters mistakenly said.

The Fox News personality proceeded to analyze President Biden’s night press conference on February 8  and the revelations from Special Counsel, Robert Hur’s recently released classified documents report.

"And we’re going to turn around some of the soundbites from that insane press conference we just witnessed where the president almost looked like he was going to jump across and hit somebody for asking him a question," Watters remarked.

"And I think he is reserving a little something special for the Special Counsel, Hur who just said to the American people that the president has issues mentally, uh, hazy memory, and diminished faculties," Watters continued.

After Watter's mistake, several netizens wrote on Radar Online's Facebook post, "That's what Fox freaks news do, make fun of someone else when they're the clowns."

Another user said, "Slips of the tongue are perfectly normal for EVERYONE...What is happening with Biden is much more than a slip of the tongue and indicative of much more serious cognizant disease. Anyone who has seen him lately trying to talk knows that. You just can't admit it. It's not about Biden, it's about the security of the country."

Another wrote, "At least HE'S not pretending to be running the country."

Noem comments on President Biden's press conference

Despite Watters' error in identifying her state, Noem refrained from correcting him. She proceeded to characterize President Biden as "emotional" and asserted that the press conference "only made it a much worse situation for him."

"He was emotional," Noem commented regarding Biden on the show. "A statement would've been better."

"And this only made it a much, much worse situation for him," she continued. "After this report came out, he just came out and proved he has diminished capacity. He couldn’t even refer to the right country with the right president in the right conflict and the right war."

Following Special Counsel Hur's decision not to press charges against President Biden regarding the classified documents issue, the President held a press conference on the night of February 8.

During the conference, President Biden refuted Hur’s findings.

"My memory is fine," remarked the 81-year-old President when questioned about the matter. "Take a look at what I have done since I became president."

"Nobody thought I could pass any of the things that I got passed. How did that happen?" he added. "You know, I guess I just forgot what was going on."
