Prince Harry and Meghan Markle began the final day of their Australia tour by meeting survivors and first responders of the December 14, 2025, Bondi Beach terror attack.

Upon arriving, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle spent time at Bondi Beach, where they met volunteer first responders from the Bondi Surf Bathers' Life Saving Club. Established in 1907, the group played a key role in protecting beachgoers and responding during the December 14 attack.
The couple also met representatives from the Sydney Jewish Museum, which is preparing an exhibition on the incident. During their visit, they viewed items set to be displayed, including messages of support and illustrations honoring members of the public who were recognized for helping others.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle meeting with veteran Joel Vanderzwan
Volunteer lifeguards and community leaders welcomed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at Bondi Beach in Sydney, where 15 people were killed and 40 were injured during a Hanukkah event in December.
Later, crowds gathered along the steps of the Sydney Opera House to greet the couple before they boarded a boat for a sailing event hosted by Invictus Australia.
At the harbor, they met veteran Joel Vanderzwan, who presented them with customised flip-flops reading “G’day Hazza” and “G’day Megs.” Harry joked that he usually receives “budgie smugglers” from Invictus Australia.
The couple then set out on a wheelchair-accessible vessel, designed to ensure injured veterans could take part in the sailing experience.
