George Clooney opens up about writing another op-ed against Donald Trump amid their ongoing feud
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: George Clooney has expressed his willingness to end the ongoing feud with Donald Trump.
During his recent appearance on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' the ‘Wolfs’ star told the host, “You know what, I will if he does,” referring to the former president slamming Clooney over his Truth Social.
George Clooney's cheeky response to Jimmy Kimmel about writing another op-ed
The Oscar-winning actor, who previously wrote an op-ed urging President Joe Biden to step down from the 2024 race, was asked by Kimmel if he’d consider writing another op-ed, this time asking Donald Trump to drop out.
“Have you thought about writing an op-ed in the Times asking him to step down because it worked once, why not try it again?” Kimmel questioned.
Clooney played along with the joke and responded with, “He's a big fan of mine.”
Talking more about his op-ed for Biden, Kimmel floated the argument, “It may well have changed the world. It had an enormous impact on the presidential election. Right?” per Daily Mail.
“No, I don't know that that's true,” Clooney answered before praising Biden for letting go of power.
Internet accuses George Clooney of being 'elitist', unaware of common issues
Netizens called out the actor for his political stance, and his take on Donald Trump. A few accused George Clooney of spending his time in Italy and therefore not relating to common voters.
A user slammed, "Clown Clooney lives in Italy and is a total elitist."
"If he was really bold, he would be his authentic self. The charade with the stick insect hasn't fooled anyone. Not anyone who worked in the industry in the 90s. He wasn't even discreet back then," another wrote.
Another individual commented, "Clooney just lost millions of current or future fans and is now on my 'never watch again, ever' list."
One remarked, "Sorry but we don't want to be influenced by stupidly rich actors and popstars who live in ever increasingly vulgar ostentatious bubbles that most of us will never be able to relate to. How many houses does George own - I've forgotten?"
"When Trump becomes President. The next time George goes to Italy. deny him entry back into the country," another expressed.
"Someone needs to tell George he’s become a laughingstock…from his private life to his profession to his politics and mostly his unabashed entitlement," opined someone else.
"I don’t care what he thinks. We’re all hurting and can hardly make it or have little left over to enjoy life and he wants to preach to us. Enjoy your millions and security," another bashed the actor.
