LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Gia Giudice sparked backlash after she reportedly asked for her father Joe Giudice’s pardon from President Donald Trump, weeks after the POTUS pardoned Todd and Julie Chrisley.

The Chrisleys were released because of their daughter, Savannah Chrisley, who continued to fight for their freedom. The couple was behind bars for wire fraud, bank fraud, and tax evasion.

On the other hand, Joe was convicted in 2014 on federal fraud charges and sentenced to 41 months in prison. He was deported to his home country, Italy, after he completed his sentence in 2019.

Gia Giudice says dad Joe's absence ‘never stops hurting’

On Friday, July 4, Joe Giudice's daughter, Gia Giudice, whom he shares with ex-wife Teresa Giudice, shared a video on Instagram that showed her signing several letters.

“Hey, guys, my name is Gia Giudice. I’m the daughter of Joe Giudice and today I’m using my voice for something deeply personal,” she shared in the post.

The 24-year-old continued, “My dad was deported over four years ago. Since then, our family has lived in an emotional limbo. No matter how strong we try to be in the absence of a father, of a parent, it’s something that never stops hurting.”

Gia then went on to share that her father had always been present for her at “every cheer competition, every dance recital, holiday.”

Gia Giudice claims the Chrisley family receiving a second chance inspired her

“He was our provider. Our protector. And he still is, just now from thousands of miles away,” she asserted.

In the video, the 'Next Gen NYC' star added that “watching the Chrisley family receive a second chance inspired me.”

“It showed me that people can be forgiven, that families could be restored and that sometimes the justice system has room for grace. That gave me hope. Hope that maybe my dad could come home too,” Gia stated.

She captioned the video, "Let’s bring Joe Giudice; my father home together♥️ #bringjoehome," tagging Trump, the White House, and her father.

Internet calls Gia Giudice's appeal 'epitome of privilege’

But Gia Giudice's appeal wasn't well-received on the internet.

A critic wrote in the comments section of Gia's video, “This is rather tone deaf considering your father committed a white collar crime and got deported but people are getting deported and sent God Knows Where without even having criminal records. Your fans want you to use your influence to help the less fortunate and I don’t blame anyone for not having sympathy for your father who is dealing with consequences based off of choices he MADE.”

Another commented, “Mind u, this is an ACTUAL convicted felon. but go off,” while one more said, “The epitome of privilege I’m crying.”

An individual shared, “Wait.. she posted this on july 4th? The entitlement is absurd.”

“Gia. Your dad had YEARS to become a citizen and didn’t. He broke laws and this is his consequence. Why is he any different from anyone else who was deported for criminal behavior? Because he has daughters? Because he had money? The laws apply to everyone," a person wrote in a lengthy comment.

They added, "I know you miss him & want him here-I get it. But hes only a flight away-and at least you can afford to visit. Regardless-if he gets an exception then why shouldn’t everyone else? Maybe work on changing the laws for everyone instead of your dad getting special treatment.”

“Stop trying to emulate the chrisleys. They shouldn’t have gotten a pardon and neither should your father,” one bluntly wrote.

Joe Giudice seeks Donald Trump's pardon

Gia Giudice's post came just days after Joe Giudice himself asked for his pardon from Donald Trump and his son, Donald Trump Jr, in an Instagram post.

The father-of-four, whose other daughters are Gabriella, Audriana, and Milania, wrote, “I’m Joe Giudice. I served my time, and I’ve been deported from the US for nearly a decade.”

“I was raised in Jersey, I’m a father of four amazing daughters, and I just want to be allowed to visit them again. President Trump, I respect you and I’m asking for a second chance,” the 53-year-old added.
