LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Gina Carano just landed a significant victory in her Elon Musk-backed lawsuit against Disney.

A federal judge has ordered the entertainment giant to hand over detailed salary records for several major stars of the 'Star Wars' franchise, including Pedro Pascal, Diego Luna, and Rosario Dawson, reports Business Insider.

The ruling, issued April 3 by US Magistrate Judge Steve Kim, marks a turning point in Carano’s case, which stems from her abrupt firing from 'The Mandalorian' in 2021.

Carano claims Disney axed her over her political views ranging from anti-mask commentary to posts comparing conservatives to Jews during the Holocaust, alleging the move violated California labor laws.

Backed by Elon Musk and funded through X (formerly Twitter), Carano is arguing that her firing wasn’t just unfair, it was targeted censorship. Disney, on the other hand, insists it acted within its rights to distance itself from her controversial posts and retool its shows accordingly.

Now, Disney is required to provide Carano's legal team with a confidential breakdown of what Pascal, Dawson, Carl Weathers, Luna, and Amandla Stenberg were paid across several Disney+ shows including 'The Mandalorian', 'Ahsoka', 'The Book of Boba Fett', 'Andor,' and the upcoming film 'The Mandalorian and Grogu'.

Carano’s attorneys argued that this information is vital to assess what she could have earned had she not been removed from the planned spinoff 'Rangers of the New Republic'. Judge Kim agreed, ruling that potential damages couldn't be calculated without it.

While the salary records are under a protective order for now, they could surface publicly if the lawsuit goes to trial, currently set for February next year.

So far, no official responses have come from Disney or the actors involved but the case is shaping up to be one of the most watched Hollywood legal showdowns of the coming year.

A recent court decision ordering Disney to release Pedro Pascal’s 'Mandalorian' salary details to Gina Carano as part of her ongoing wrongful termination lawsuit has ignited a firestorm of reactions online.

The case, which has rekindled debates over Carano’s exit from the franchise, has drawn sharp opinions from both supporters and critics.

One user stated, “She wasn't even fired. They didn't renew her contract and she became a conservative martyr,” while another criticized the framing of her lawsuit, “Professional victims. Thrive on victimhood so it gives them justification to lash out at others.”

Skepticism over the salary comparison also surfaced. “And now I assume she thinks she should be getting paid as much as Pedro Pascal. She’s not even a B list,” one wrote.

Others pointed out the circumstances of her departure, “It’s that she said hateful things, was given a warning, and then kept doing it.” And another wrote, “To be clear, she wasn’t even fired. Disney simply didn’t ask her to return for S2.”

One user lamented, “She wasn't even contacted. She was on a yearly contract and she was in between seasons. She wasn't even fired. She has no recourse.”
