Goldie Hawn reveals her LA home had 2 break-ins within 4 months, says she's 'never without a guard' now
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Goldie Hawn had enough of LA!
The ‘Bird on a Wire’ actress shared in a recent interview about the two instances when her home was invaded by burglars.
Goldie Hawn recalls her LA home break-ins
Talking with SiriusXM's 'Let's Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa', Hawn said the first time her house was broken into, she was out with her partner Kurt Russell for dinner, and on returning found all her belongings spread all across the room.
"I walked into my closet and I just lost it. They had broken in from the balcony to our bedroom, our closets," said Hawn.
"And they completely knocked down my door, which is a safe door, so they're very, very sophisticated, and they got a lot of my goodies," the actress went on.
To her surprise the second burglary attempt was made just four months later, she felt that "the odds are that's not gonna happen again.”
"I hear this big thump upstairs — and I was alone; Kurt wasn't there — and I went, 'What the hell was that?'" she told host Kelly Ripa, per People.
"It was just like, was that a sonic boom? Did somebody jump somewhere? And as it turned out, the next day, we discovered that they were trying to get in my bedroom while I was in the house," she narrated.
Hawn is so terrified of these home invasions that now she has "had a guard" with her, "especially when I'm alone."
"I'm never without a guard," she added.
Hawn shared that he had a discussion with partner Russell on where else they could live, noting Palm Desert is nice and safe, whereas LA is "terrible."

Hawn and Russell had been together for over four decades now.
Earlier talking about their strong bond, Hawn told SiriusXM’s ‘Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend', "It wasn't just because he was sexy and handsome and all of those things you get turned on by; it was because he matched my devotion to children to be No. 1."
"The seduction was really his personality and his focus on the children," she emphasized.
