NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Former President Donald Trump lashed out against New York judge Arthur Engoron and Attorney General Letitia James after he was hit with a $355 million judgment in a civil fraud trial, reported HuffPost.

Expressing his outrage in a series of Truth Social posts on Friday, February 16, the Republican frontrunner labeled the judge "crooked" and the Attorney General "corrupt" as he was barred from running companies in New York for three years besides the fine.

"A Crooked New York State Judge, working with a totally Corrupt Attorney General who ran on the basis of 'I will get Trump,' before knowing anything about me or my company, has just fined me $355 Million based on nothing other than having built a GREAT COMPANY. ELECTION INTERFERENCE. WITCH HUNT (more to follow!)," Trump wrote.

Judge Engoron issued the bombshell ruling on February 16 after months-long trial against the ex-president and his sons, Donald Trump Jr and Eric Trump, who are ordered to pay more than $4 million each for massively inflating the value of their properties to secure favorable loans from banks.

Donald Trump calls the civil fraud judgment a 'Total SHAM'

Less than a month after a Manhattan judge ordered Trump to pay $83.3 million in defamation damages to writer E Jean Carroll, the civil fraud judgment adds to his myriad legal troubles as he closes in on the Republican nomination for the 2024 presidential election.

Responding to the judgment, the former President emailed out a lengthier statement claiming his innocence.

"This 'decision' is a Complete and Total SHAM," the statement read.

"There were No Victims, No Damages, No Complaints. Only satisfied Banks and Insurance Companies (which made a ton of money), GREAT Financial Statements, that didn't even include the most valuable Asset ― The TRUMP Brand, IRONCLAD Disclaimers (Buyer Beware, and Do your Own Due Diligence), and amazing Properties all over the World," he argued.

In early January, New York AG James recommended the court to fine Trump a hefty penalty of $370 million and a lifetime ban from the state's real estate industry. Following the much-anticipated ruling, James contently stated, "justice has been served" while addressing the media.
