WASHINGTON, DC: Grimes revealed that she had "begged" Elon Musk and has tried "legal recourse" to keep their children out of the public eye.

The Canadian singer, 36, who shares three children, X AE A-XII, four, Exa, three, and Techno, two, with Musk recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to criticize the increased spotlight on their son Lil X.

Lil X has become a fixture of his father, who leads the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Last month, the SpaceX founder even took his son to a meeting at the Oval Office. He was also by his father's side when Trump turned the White House lawn into a Tesla showroom a few days back.

Grimes decries the increased spotlight on her son Lil X

Taking to X, Grimes, born Claire Boucher, wrote, "I have tried begging the public and my kids dad to keep them offline, and I've tried legal recourse."

Her remarks came as a response to the backlash she received due to a fake tweet going viral on X, which is owned by Musk.

While the social media users bashed the Canadian native for her failure to protect her children and urged her to take the initiative to save her three children from online hate, Grimes shared, "I unfortunately do not control the internet and cannot wipe this from the internet."

She continued, "I've seen young ppl destroyed by the internet too. The state of my children's lives being public is of grave concern to me and I think about how to solve this every day."

The ‘Genesis’ singer further noted, "It's insane to me that theres no way to deal with this. I would hope there was some law that would allow a parent to veto small children from living public lives but I don't even trust the law to help me now if I tried to invoke it tbh."

Grimes previously tried drawing Elon Musk's attention to one of their children's medical condition

The latest post from Grimes comes just a few weeks after she made a panicked post on Elon Musk’s social media platform, writing she wanted the billionaire’s immediate attention for one of their children’s medical crisis.

When the father of her children was at CPAC, the 'Oblivion' hitmaker wrote in a now-deleted post that she wanted Musk to contact her for one of their children's health conditions.

In the now-deleted post, Grimes wrote, "Plz respond about our child's medical crisis. I am sorry to do this publicly but it is no longer acceptable to ignore this situation. This requires immediate attention."

She further added that if Musk did not want to contact her directly, he could do it via a mediator. "If you don't want to talk to me can you please designate or hire someone who can so that we can move forward on solving this. This is urgent, Elon," urged Grimes.

While a section of social media users sympathized with her, some even wondered why she was making the issue public.

To that, the songstress explained, "I'm not giving any details but he won't respond to texts call or emails and has skipped every meeting and our child will suffer life long impairment if he doesn't respond asap, so I need him to f***ing respond and if I have to apply public pressure then I guess that's where we are at."
