Gypsy Rose Blanchard opens up about divorce from Ryan Scott Anderson
In a statement to People on December 9, Gypsy Rose Blanchard opened up about her divorce from Ryan Scott Anderson, saying, "I did extend the offer to have a civil conversation for closure purposes. I'm currently waiting on a response. He waived his right to attend [the court date]."
Meanwhile, Anderson’s attorney, Randy J Fuerst, addressed how Anderson is coping with the divorce: "Ryan Anderson was aware that the divorce was taking place today. He’s always conducting himself as a gentleman and a good husband. He did not seek this divorce but is now glad that this saga in his life is over and he looks forward to a healthy new beginning."
Blanchard then reflected on her marriage to Anderson, "It was kind of like my first shock of holy crap. I'm married. It's kind of like, okay, well, you know that you're settling — that you're kind of pushing on to just do what everybody else does in life, but you're just settling."
As for their financial disagreements, Blanchard confirmed that the couple has settled those issues in court. Fuerst also mentioned that the pair has agreed to forgo spousal support, though the division of community property is still being negotiated.
